-The legend of zelda, final fantasy, metal gear and fire emblem are not that good
- Wii u is nothing without splatoon
- "war pigs" and "symptom of the universe" are the worst songs from black sabbath
- MLP started sucking after season 3
-"a canterlot wedding" was a poor excuse to sell merchandise

[Random shit]

- I find the Witcher 3 boring.

- As of now, I find Fallout 4 to be the second best of its series.

- The 3d era MK games were fucking awesome.

- Soul Eater's anime ending was good

- New Vegas's story and characters aren't all that great

- I find the GTA boring.

- The only good film Zack Snyder ever made was that Dawn of The Dead Remake

- 2 Minutes to Midnight and Number of The Beast are decent Iron Maiden songs. I believe one of there best is The Apparition.

- Gabe Newell is a hack

- Dubstep will make a huge comeback

- DCCU should have a do over.

I will start this off with a disclaimer:

I understand some people just wish the Metroid series got a bit more love from it's parent company Nintendo, but it's really getting to where I'm wondering if some Metroid fans ever play anything else. Like seriously I see some Metroid fans who constantly shit on Nintendo simply because there hasn't been a new mainline Metroid in half a decade, acting like Nintendo's put out absolutely nothing worthwhile and saying that the recent C&D on the Metroid 2 fan remake is going to make them swear off Nintendo for good apparently.

If literally the only Nintendo franchise you like is Metroid then you really need to broaden your horizons and play some other Nintendo games. Look I get it, it sucks your favorite franchise isn't getting the attention you think it deserves (though I'd argue F-Zero fans have got it worse, they never even got a game on the Wii), but are there seriously no other franchises you like? Do you seriously not enjoy the well crafted platforming experiences of Mario and Kirby, the adventuring of Zelda and Pokemon, the strategy and worlds of Pikmin and Fire Emblem, or the action of Splatoon and Punch-Out?

Also if Retro Studios wants to make a game that's NOT Metroid then let them, they're not "The Metroid Studio," they shouldn't be forced to work solely on Metroid their entire life because entitled fanboys demand it.

Alright here's mine.
I'm going to do my unpopular opinions sorted into different categories
Anime
- I enjoy Cross Ange as much as Kill la Kill and JoJo which is a lot and I think it's a parody of the Mecha genre
- I believe that Stardust Crusaders is better than Battle Tendancy
- I like Panty and Stocking more than Gurren Lagann and Kill la Kill
- While I do like Attack on Titan to an extent I don't think it's anything special and not the best anime of 2013
- I don't give a single crap about fanservice
Video Games
- I think Xenoblade Chronicles is easily the best Wii game
- I don't like Palutena and think she's a terrible waifu because she's a jerk to Pit
- I also don't think Amazon Pandora is anything special either and I hate her personality and how she constantly talks about her bust size
- I think Phosphora is much better than either of them in personality and is more attractive.
Websites
- I can agree to SJW's to an extent but some take it too far
- I think Reddit is one of the best websites to go on if you can get away from the politics
- I think a lot of the users on here (Including some of the older ones) are idiots.

Man, I'm starting to (if I haven't before) really hate the self deprecatory attitude in general, but especially on this site. Yes I get it, it's about self awareness or something, but when you repeat the same old shitty joke over and over again, it gets tiring. Not only that, but I really feel like shit when somebody goes "lmao this site is for idiots". Sometimes it makes me wonder if people can love themselves here and elsewhere.

I didn't say the site is for idiots I said that some people on here like Epyc Wynn and Hrom for example (There's others) are basically stupid. I wasn't even being ironic, I'm generally serious.

Actually my post wasn't referring to your post at all.
It was more in general. I noticed that long ago but only now I told it here. I dunno really.
And yes I knew you were serious here. Most of the users are serious on this thread.

How do you feel about me? (Not insecure or anything. Just curious) :)

I believe Attack on Titan started with a good premise and plot, that slowly went down the shitter by revealing too much. Characters like Eren and Mikasa also seem way too one-dimensional, with Mikasa seemingly only existing to protect Eren. Eren's hatred, rage, and anger doesn't even stem from his mother and father's death; he was always like that, so he (personally, or personality-wise) has barely been impacted by his mother's death at all. He has always been violent, bratty, while also never thinking before doing.

He's just a bad character imo, and it doesn't help that he would have died a gazillion times without his titan-shifting powers, while also not scoring a single kill without his titan form (how did he even graduate?!)

As of recently, I've had a feeling that if either Trump or Hillary became president…it wouldn't be for long. I don't know how to explain it properly. But I only see them lasting one or one and a half years before something…happens to either one of them while in office. What I'm trying to say it that, I don't think him/her becoming pres will be the end of days. Because somethings telling me that they won't be in office long enough to do anything to this country. I don't know…maybe I'm loosing it.

If you're suggesting either of them will get assassinated, I'm doubtful. Presidential security is pretty tight, and we've had more controversial presidents than either of them avoid getting killed.

But I can definitely see either of them getting impeached. Clinton and Trump have three things in common: they've both got a lot of political enemies, they're both widely suspected of previous crimes, and they're both liable to commit crimes while in office. There's a definite possibility that one of them will be on the receiving end of an impeachment attempt by their opponents in Congress.

People who tell me "by not voting, you are voting for the person you are against" are fucking idiots. Who I am against? By voting, I am voting for someone I am against, because I AM AGAINST EVERYONE. THAT'S WHY I'M NOT VOTING. Someone I am against will become president either way, so I'd rather not waste my time leaving my house to vote for my inevitable disappointment.

- I don't like the Joker. Part of it is that I just think he's boring (in a rogues gallery full of interesting villains with unique psychological quirks, he's a generic serial killer with a clown gimmick), but most my my dislike comes from certain writers at DC who adore him and jerk him off at every opportunity. You've got these Joker fanboys who treat him like some sort of combination of combination of Hannibal Lecter, Freddy Kruger, and Bruce Lee – an invincible super genius who outplays everyone in the story, comes back completely unscathed from any injury (except maybe his actor dying or retiring), and can take Batman or even fucking Superman in hand-to-hand combat despite having no martial arts background. Then, these same fanboys insist on inserting him into every crossover, even ones where he doesn't have any place and ends up doing nothing but cluttering the cast (see: Suicide Squad). Don't get me wrong, I do like the Joker when he's done well. The problem is that he so often isn't.

- I legitimately can't tell the difference between 30 and 60 FPS. I only notice FPS drops when they get really bad and everything looks choppy.

- Animeesque western cartoons (such as Avatar and RWBY) are not anime, they're just anime-influenced. Stop calling them anime just because you don't want to admit you watch cartoons.

>I prefer some SJWs who've gone too far not just their political agendas but to themselves should seek counseling. Those who're fine but still ruin other people's fun should get out. Like Penn Jillette said everyone gets offended and you should get away from it.

>As for Penn, I liked it better when he's didn't lose 100 ib. He pretty much looked unrecognizable to me if only he have lost half of that.

>I don't play much video games as often from what I used to. Nowadays, I just mod New Vegas. I want an AMD RX 480 8gbs so I can run ENBs fluidly…

>Dicks out for Harambe started off forced thanks to Milhouse for successfully implementing it to our memes. It has become one of the memes I don't give a shit.

>I wasn't actually hyped for the new Zelda game.

>Fire Emblem Fates localization has more censorship than removing Vivian's gender identity from Paper Mario: TTYD.

Who the hell said I wanted them to get killed. Shit, I should have been more clear when I said "something happens". Being impeached was what I meant. All because they said a few things I don't like doesn't warrant me wanting their execution. XD

4chan as a whole is far-right and of poor quality.

I wish people would stop pretending that it's a bastion of freedom and objectivity because it's critical of 'social justice warriors'. One of the most active boards is colonised by neonazis and people who think pretending to be neonazis is a time-worthy hobby. Nowadays people have used their distaste for 'political correctness' to circlejerk so far right that they're defending fascists because a feminist was mean to them once.

I get that a lot of people have a 'look the other way' attitude towards the site because it's where a lot of internet culture comes from. But then again, it's also my opinion that internet 'culture' as a whole is awful.

Moving on, the Chan boards are only 'pro-free speech' in that the userbase is against facing consequences for their own actions. The standards of decency we collectively set as a society (anti harassment & hate speech for instance) are called censorship because they're antithetical to 4chan's sophomoric behaviour.

This behaviour involves threatening people and telling them to commit suicide for the crime of having an opposing opinion. Doesn't sound like frozen peaches to me.

I'm getting sick of people still bitching about the C&D on AM2R when the GUY WHO MADE THE DAMN THING has said he wants people to stop complaining about it and still support Nintendo. Why is it the guy who spent 10 years making the damn game isn't mad at all, but yet the fucking Metroid fanbase have turned into this vindictive mob who want Nintendo to go out of business over this shit and the mere existence of Federation Force? This is really turning into one of the most entitled gaming fanbases I've ever seen, and I'm someone who enjoys the Metroid games.

I think it's just a case of a meme mutating beyond its original form

I feel that accusing someone of taking things too seriously is a rather shallow way of brushing off emotional responses. Either that, or it's just another pejorative thrown around just because it's hip to just ignore those who felt a joke was taken too far.

Actually the Cross Ange opinion I mentioned seems to be agreed with the people on Reddit so maybe it's not as unpopular as I thought?

On the other hand, most users on KYM doesn't seem like Cross Ange all that much. After all, it's a series that is liked by some but despised by others.

As for me, I don't like Cross Ange at all. I heard that the second half is much better, but I didn't regret my decision for dropping it after 10 episodes. I regret I didn't drop it earlier though.

Yeah I liked it because of how much character development there was. The characters get really well developed and stop being pricks. Momoka is like the only one that does nothing still. She's like Mako except exclude all the 2 Star Goku Uniform moments. (Over exaggerated hyperactive best friend of the main character)
I also liked it because of the world building and the backstory between some of the characters such as with Hilda for example. Also the main villain is fucking spot on IMO. Embryo is the big bad in the second half and is a complete utter cunt. He's basically a serial killer and rapist and a sexist piece of shit that wants to kill everyone because why the fuck not. You're made to love to hate him which is how any villain should be done. Hate them as much as possible.
No one actually really specifies why they didn't like it that much which is what gets on my nerves.
The main complaint I see is the fanservice but it's extremely over-exaggerated and very over the top and mostly used for running gags and jokes. For example there's the crotch gag, there's everything with Ange and Tusk (After JoJo this name sounds awkward) and the fact that there's post credit scenes where it usually makes fun of itself or the tropes that the show uses. They make a joke about copyright once. It just seems like the fact that the show is very self aware that it's shit and makes fun of itself for humor (Which is better than if it was just shit) or it's satire on the Mecha Genre.

I also found it quite similar to Kill la Kill (Especially in the second half) the outfits look similar enough, the fanservice is similar, Ange is similar to Ryuko where she's an edgy violent anti hero, Embryo's kind of like Ragyo and he decided to use a purification ritual once and there's a similar scene to the Great Naked Dagger scene and the final battle is a battle in space where the main character's power basically goes Super Saiyan.
TL:DR I think the show has a lot going for it but I need more explanation on why it's hated. I also think the fanservice and post credit scenes are why it's satire. It's also somewhat similar to KLK.

P.S. I will admit it is my least favorite Mecha Anime however. My favorite goes to Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann.

Conscription is among the worst war crimes a country can commit, equivalent to the use of nuclear weapons. It is the ultimate violation of citizens' human rights, and absolutely no situation can justify it.

Here are probably the most unpopular opinions that I have. (I'm not really sure what KYM thinks about it in general, but I'm speaking from a general standpoint):

- I like three things about the Nutshack: its theme song, its character designs, and its premise. Wait, let me explain.
I like the theme song, but yes, the lyrics are atrocious.
I also like the character designs (besides that lemur-bat thing, gross). They have a rough, edgy, kind of off-putting charm to them.
I also like the premise, too. A cousin from the Philippines and a cousin from San Fransisco, living with a trashy uncle? It could be weirdly funny! But it's a shame it's the absolute worst show I've ever seen.

- I actually like Mr. Enter. I discovered him one day in early 2014 when I was sick and watched all of his videos. Although I think that there was a point (late 2014 to early 2015, I think) when he got way too serious with his reviews, he's calmed down a lot lately, and sometimes I'll watch his reviews nowadays.
However, I still think that he takes cartoons wayyyy too seriously, like when I was eight (then, I reviewed every single season 1-3 Spongebob episode and gave it a rating. cringe). And while I think he has a good grasp on what makes a good story, the fact that he has no professional experience, and that he can't actually compose a story or draw a picture all that well is a little unsettling. I could also talk about how annoyed I am by some of his fans, but I won't overstay my welcome.

- JonTron's newer output is really bugging me. I know there are good reasons why Youtubers should accept sponsorships and usually, I totally respect it, but his videos seem really bought out (he's done 3 entirely-sponsored videos in the past year). I'm bothered by the set his videos are on now, as well. It takes away a lot of the genuinity that the original show had. His humor is the same, but it feels different because of the change in production.

- I hate GradeAUnderA with a passion. He says he's not attracted to "drama", but every time he says it'll be his last "drama" video there's another one. And his "My Thoughts On Gay People" video was just painful to watch. I knew that he probably was okay with gay people (and I'm definitely for gay rights myself), but that video was jarringly out-of-place with his "slightly-but-not-offensively politically-incorrect" image. And don't forget the criticism-deflecting excuse of "I know I'm a jerk" that he used and now his fans use to defend him.

Phew. Sorry for the rants.

You think it's bad here? Try going on Deviantart. It seems like half of everything there is pastel- or neon-colored anthro chibis with vaguely self-deprecating quotes on their sweaters or in the title/description. I know that sounds super specific, but I'm dead serious.

And, by the way, I totally agree with you. I'm actually a super-optimistic person, so it bothers me when everyone has the same "lol I'm so lazy and I can't do anything" mentality.

I actually forgot a couple of things that I put down there despite how long my rant was.
So first off this is minor but I forgot about the action scenes, they kick ass and get constantly better and better and get incredibly over the top later in the series. There's a scene where Ange's mecha is flying around and it causes all the enemies to implode and explode all at once. The choreography is also pretty good at times. That's minor but I do like my action a lot in an action show. I also have a new reason why the fanservice may not be that bad however it only follows for the second season so any negative stuff about the first does not apply here. Embryo is meant to be a parody of the Otaku community because he's constantly looking for the perfect waifu in which case is Ange. The waifu thing is also about how attractive are the girls in their revealing clothing and how they act. Therefore it would make sense of the over sexualisation in the show in general because it's taking the mick of otaku's who want a waifu and constantly look for attractive females so they decided to make the females very sexualised to be satire. The whole fanservice thing isn't even serious at all. It's pure satire on the otaku community. It's therefore basically justified in a sense.

1. your utopian 'Yurop' only has moderate military spending because Murica overspends to protects its allies (well…there are other, less-honourable reasons for Murica's overspending, but still). If Trump gets the chance to fuck over NATO, you can kiss your high-quality social democracies goodbye.

2. other commentators here have already admonished nerd culture. I have my own points, but they're of a slightly different angle, albeit much is the same:

I hate hate HATE how consumerist it is. The emphasis on buying knickknacks and plastering everywhere you touch with it is insane. It fits modern identity theory, where the self is a 'project' that continually needs to be worked on.

As you can probably guess, this 'work' consists solely of buying, and it never ends.

Ever. Because it's Sisyphean. Because it's late-stage capitalism. Because $$$$.

I don't know if there are many Star Trek fans here to actually object to this but DS9 is the best Star Trek series by far. Also while it wasn't perfect Enterprise was actually pretty great.

This isn't an unpopular opinion (according to /tv/).
Besides i kinda agree… watching the DS9 cast was very enjoyable.

Deus Ex: Invisible War is honestly a pretty good game in its own right, it just had the misfortune (ha ha) of being a sequel to one of the most prolific PC games ever made. Like forget the fact it's got the "Deus Ex" name attached to it and you've honestly got a really solid action-adventure FPS game. That being said though I will say Human Revolution was more of a "proper successor" to the original game thanks to the overall "feel" of the game being more in line with the original.

I'm beginning to understand Kirito and his friends some more after reading the LNs and the Progressive manga/LN.

Not sure if this is unpopular but I do like Yukiko (from Persona 4) as a character since she reminds me of someone I have feelings for IRL, they kind of share the same personality adn quirks which in turn does add to the immersion.

I'm not a fan of JJBA, but I don't mind seeing the images that are in the Trending Images gallery as I do find them funny, it's just I doubt that I would find much enjoyment in watching the entire series to understand certain jokes.

I actually wonder why people comment on articles or videos of things they don't like just to state their opinion or outright hate on it. This was mostly present on the Ordinal Scale trailer when it was first uploaded and is still practically there on the Hollow Realization trailers (even the IGN comment section was surprisingly tame), not to mention things like FFXV (two months extra waiting isn't all that bad, even though people waited for ten years too).

I'm also not a fan of some anime YouTubers, probably just Digibro and MB. I'm fine just enjoying OPs for their entertainment value and I don't need to learn about knowing whether an anime is good from the first episode.

Das ist alle I guess
