I like Sonichu in a "so bad, it's good" way. It's just so laughably bad and insane I can't help but enjoy it.

Episode VII was just okay.
^On that note I liked the prequels. (I've probably said this before)
School Days gets way too much hate. It's not that good, but the amount of backlash is a bit much.

Pokemon Go is annoying and not worth the hype. Besides the dangers that come with the game, walking around catching fictional animals as if they were real is a dumb concept. The Pokemon Go craze will die down before 2017 and I expect it to be parodied on South Park.
I wish we had more moderates in the world because the extremes that constantly come from two sides in any given controversy/argument always tend to be people who go to extremes that make me end up disliking both sides equally, even if I lean more in agreement with one side on certain areas.
And what pisses me off more if stuff like how people on said extremes like to treat moderates like shit by saying crap like "IF YOU'RE NOT 100% IN AGREEMENT WITH ME THEN YOU'RE AGAINST ME!" despite the fact the moderates aren't 100% on the other side either.

Should I be worried that that's considered an unpopular opinion?

When dealing with THOSE types of extreme groups I described it's kinda scary that that's an unpopular opinion.
I had mixed feelings about Splatoon. It' great, but the fact the real fun comes from online combined with inconsistent internet connections and losing streaks made it hard for me to enjoy. Worse is that I could never recover from a streak.
For a licensed game and being a Drawn to life skin, the Spongebob edition is my favorite Spongebob game.
I think " don't feed the trolls " is the most appropriate responce to online harassment.
I quite dislike coffee.
Many people use it as a way to get up in the morning, but I think that it simply makes you weaker throughout the day when the body realizes it can become dependent on it. Water a best.
As much as I agree that the backlash James Rolfe received for his "No review I refuse" video was bullshit, I have to just go ahead and confess I don't get why because of that James is now being held up on this pedestal like he's somehow this savior of free speech or something.
Plus sadly some of James' defenders acted absolutely no better than his detractors, doing shit like insulting Patton Oswalt by using the man's recently deceased wife, but yet acting all disgusted when James' wife and daughter got insulted too. If you're disgusted by people using someone's family against them, don't go and then do that very shit back at someone else, because then you're pulling the "well it's not wrong when MY side does it" card.
Also on the trolling towards Leslie Jones: I'm honestly bothered by all the people tweeting racist stuff at her because you do realize now SJW types are just going to use this stuff to back up their arguments that "all people who hate Ghostbusters 2016 are both misogynistic and racist," right?

As James Rolfe would put it: What were they thinking?!
I liked the star wars prequels better than the originals
I really dislike LeafyIsHere becuase all he does is find some 10 year old kid who made something stupid on webcam, or some other guy with a disability, and straight up makes fun of them and his fanbase harass them.
Also i think the prank channels are the true cancer of youtube becuase they made pranks that are really shitty and harm people along with some prank aren't even prank just look at this.
How the fuck this is even considered as a prank
@Dahaka
Eh I don't think disliking prank channels is that unpopular of an opinion, prank channels have been facing backlash for a good while now. Though to be fair I guess you could say that opinion is technically unpopular among people who do like prank channels.
Milo deserved to get banned from Twitter. He's never been much more than a big-name troll; pretty much everything he says is either a childish insult or a deliberate attempt to anger people instead of promote any meaningful debate.
This doesn't mean Twitter is not at fault, however, since they have left several equally troll-ish individuals on the other end of the political spectrum unbanned.
The vitriol towards Tumblr coming from 4chan, Reddit, etc is directly linked to gender.
In recent years, young-ish males in western countries have become more uncomfortable with the fact that their opinions are no longer being coddled. Inversely, women are gradually getting more representation in online spaces after years of a paucity.
The shift from embracing to mocking the 'Friendzone' meme in the past 3-4 years
is the acknowledgment of an outright toxic attitude towards female autonomy in online culture.
It's no coincidence that a lot of the anti-Tumblr mentality is connected to social issues. Most of the people who scoff at Tumblr's hyperbole have probably had their share of freaking out at inconsequential things, but don't recognise the double standard due to their own personal biases.
How is blogging about [insert male celebrity] , fashion, and feminism any more shallow than freaking out over video game endings, localisation controversies, and anime? It isn't.
(NOTE: female representation refers to the voices being heard, not simply the number of users. A place can have a high number of women but still have predominantly males asking questions and steering the discourse. Anyone who's been in an English lecture will know what I'm talking about)
Ctrl+Alt+Del today is just meh. Tim may have reduced little of the webcomic's problems, but the internet won't forget the many shortcomings and problematic moments the original run had, along with the many actions of the author. Jokes seem to have improved, though by a bit, or several. The infamous art style still lives on, yet Tim at least made an effort to freshen it up and actually draw panels instead of copy-pasting and compositing.
I think the blue wall of silence is bullshit.
I personally stand by the notion that genres like nu-metal, metalcore, and deathcore are still good "gateway" genres, and I seriously doubt anyone ever truly "outgrows" these genres. I started listening to these genres in high school and still unironically enjoy listening to them. Be it stuff like Korn, Slipknot, or old Linkin Park for nu metal, Killswitch Engage for metalcore, or old and new school deathcore acts like Suicide Silence and Rings of Saturn, I still enjoy listening to these genres in addition to the more "normal" stuff that certain genre elitists tend to stick to.
Asuka is (Not) Trash.
My biggest worry about season 3 of Rick and Morty is that it'll become ultra-nihilistic and cynical to the point that you stop caring since it will start hammering on the head how miserable everything is and nothing in the universe matters. Don't get me wrong; I love Rick and Morty, it's just that season 2's ending made me wonder if that entire situation could really be fixed at all in season 3.
Speaking of which, I hated the finale of season 2 of Rick and Morty.
@Colonel Dude
Agreed. I like Rick and Morty, but when I try to intellectualize it even a little, it becomes unwatchably dark. I know some people find the "nothing matters, let's watch TV" line one of their favorites. To me, it was one of the most depressing. It shows that Rick's influence is causing Morty to adopt a particularly bleak form of nihilism. It wasn't even entirely played off as a joke, but as the show's philosophical view. Really not into that.

I have never found "Nuke Japan" jokes to be funny at all. Ever.
I apologize if I brought this up before, my memory of everything I've posted in this thread is kinda crap, but here's a new one from me:
I don't really find the whole "[insert show that's clearly not made in Japan here] is best anime" joke all that funny anymore. The most overused by far is Corey in the House, and honestly I'm confused on how the hell such a mediocre show got an ironic fandom to begin with (That's So Raven was good, but the Corey centered spin-off was just "meh," the best comparison I can make is it's like Planet Sheen, giving a spin-off no one asked for to a character that worked better when said character was working off of the main character of the original show).
I'm also feeling like the whole "ironic fandoms" surrounding things like specific Dreamworks movies such as Shrek and Bee Movie are gonna get run into the ground if they haven't already. I get that for Bee Movie the ironic fandom is mainly poking fun at the movie's ridiculous nature (like how it's implied "Jerry Seinfeld Bee" becomes romantically interested in a human woman) and the MANY MANY bee puns, and in the case of Shrek the first two movies are well liked enough to have a non-ironic fandom too, but I dunno something about the ironic fandoms surrounding these movies makes me feel like at some point the original "joke" is going to become lost, and you'll have a situation where Dreamworks makes Bee Movie 2 or more Shrek movies past the upcoming fifth one because they think the ironic fandoms are actually serious, OR they'll try and sell the movies based simply on irony and memes.
I'm NOT a fan of MatPat or Game Theory but even I'm starting to feel like MatPat's hatedom is making the whole "Pope situation" a bigger deal than MatPat himself ever did, and I really hate how the Undertale hatedom is using this whole shitfest to try and justify their hatred of the entire Undertale fandom, because oh yeah MatPat represents the fandom as a whole apparently…
(added note: remember Toby Fox himself said he wasn't a big fan of MatPat's infamous "Sans is Ness" Undertale theory because he hates being reminded of the Halloween Hack, saying it's from a time in his life where he was "trying too hard to seem edgy")

While Trump is not a fascist, there are actual fascists who do support him thanks to his rhetoric and views. It's the same thing with Bernie, even if Bernie's not a socialist, there are actual socialists who support him.
To be honest, I think No Man's Sky has been way too hyped up, and because of this I think a lot of people are going to be disappointed because of what looks like a fun game on the outside could just be an average or poor game on the inside that everyone's going to complain about because it didn't deliver on a few things. I know this is usually the case for a number of notable games, but with No Man's Sky seeming to be the "next big game" so far, I think it might suffer the same consequences as games before it. I still have faith in the project, I'm just worried about the outcome.

Good fucking grief, I'm pretty sure I've stated a similar opinion in this thread but… I'm really starting to see autism take off as an insult, hell, there's even a shit ton of variations cropping up. I am so thoroughly disgusted by it, and I lose respect for anyone who uses autism related insults.
We get it, Spongebob is always relevant. You don't have to blurt that out every time someone makes a reference to that show.
I honestly don't blame anyone for choosing to never show their face because I've seen people act like real assholes to certain YouTubers the moment they do a face reveal because they're not considered "conventionally attractive" by the commentators. Matt from Super Best Friends put it well, "people sometimes say to me 'why doesn't your face face match your voice face?' and I don't know what to say, because this is just my face, deal with it" (by the way yeah I'm super paraphrasing here).
A good example is Emi from Jaltoid. She rarely ever appears on camera on the main channel, but on a video from a different channel where Emi and Dalton were both interviewed on camera I was annoyed by how people in the comments who called themselves "fans" of Emi and Dalton's work were now suddenly shitting on Emi simply because she happens to be overweight.
Star wars was a mistake
Harambe jokes need to stop. I don't care if it's a person or animal that died, stop making fun of that unless whoever died was a complete dick (i.e. I'll make fun of Hitler, but not a gorilla who didn't know what was happening)
Zootopia is good, but pretty overrated. I liked Wreck-It Ralph and Big Hero 6 more.
I'm replaying Sticker Star again so I can really see why other people disliked it (first time I played it I was mainly staying away from other opinions), and I just have to say that replaying the game again I'm actually enjoying it more a second time around than I did the first, and even more than before I'm going "wait why does it seem like everyone hates this game again?" The battle system is actually more involved and tactical than I remembered, and stickers and coins are so damn abundant that re-listening to the complaints people like Pat from Super Best Friends had makes me go "why the hell are you saying resource management is a problem when it's almost impossible to run out of stickers? Unless you're basically admitting through that statement you actually suck at the game and wasted your stickers."
Also the game has more personality to it than I remember as well, even if the story is not as involved as previous games, making me also go "okay aside from Bowser being silent for some reason, why are people claiming this game lacks all the personality of previous games?"
Yeah I know at this point some people are probably sick of me being so damn "contrarian" when it comes to Sticker Star on this site since it seems I'm one of the only people around here who actually likes it (and thus I am someone who's actually looking forward to Color Splash), but hey this thread's purpose is for voicing "unpopular opinions."
I'm starting to think that poe's law has more to with people's opinion of "extremists" then it actually has to do with the views being mocked.

I think JonTron's quality and humor has become too predictable and is losing its polish and appeal.
Also, downvoting people in an upopular opinion thread for not agreeing with your opinion makes you a dumbass.

If people state their opinions in this thread while acting as massive twats, they deserve to get downvoted.
I hate Borderlands, and Dishonored and most of the Telltale games.

I am not sure if I like RWBY Chibi. There is something that bothers me about it (like shading, character models and how backrounds can be a bit…..bland compared to the original show).

I upvote everyone that properly posts here, whether or not I share their opinion. Because that's the point here and they're on topic.
Well almost everyone. Sometimes they're just down right disrespectful.
If it's a visual novel or an interactive media in which a player cannot lose and is just a visual experience where there's an insignificant amount of player input, then it's not a fucking game.
Only way to clean up the US in any reasonable amount of time would require the President to hold the world hostage using the nuclear arsenal.
Congress needs to deregulate NASA. NASA has a large budget and they could do a Mars Mission within 10 years if the government would stop stepping in and telling them "no" every time they tried to. The real problem is that the government decides which projects should get funding and which shouldn't. Unless another nation wanted to go to mars, we likely won't ever get funding without a large public push for it.
I really dislike the nightcore songs is like i am listening Alvin and the Chipmunks version of that song wich it makes me cringe everytime.
I really hate video games in episodic format becuase i felt i am paying for a long demo or early access game.
This is actually my first post on this website. I usually check out the trending section every afternoon just for a share of laughs, but the comments are usually half the fun on KYM. Here goes:
- I really don't like a lot of anime, even a lot of them that are popular on KYM. I think the dialogue's super awkward and the characters are super clichéd. And I really can't stand the way some anime show female characters, but whenever I see stuff like that, I just move on and ignore it, because, hey, that's just other people's tastes.
- I don't like or understand Minecraft. I also don't like some of the community- one time at a bookstore I saw- and this is true-a 700-page unauthorized Minecraft novel. Wow.
- I never really understood how the FNAF characters got popular, because their designs in the game are butt-ugly. I really just don't feel comfortable treating them like individual characters because they're flesh-eating robots.
- I absolutely despise the 'sexy' pictures of Peridot that always end up on the trending section. I also just hate Peridot.

Fair enough but that's often not what's happening. Most actually controversial opinions get downvoted by some people in here no matter how those opinions are stated. Check Breitbart Simpson's post for example. 7 people downvoted it despite the fact that he stated his opinion in a respectful manner. Of course some people in this thread do act like twats but a lot of people in this thread that get downvoted are the ones posting actually unpopular opinions.
