It blows my mind that some people simplify left and right-wing politics with "more government" and "less government". Absolutely disgusting.

How I feel about basically all of the ecchi on this site tbh
I don't say it much because I doubt it will win me any popularity contests.

The people who voted at the 2015 /v/idya gaem awards made the right calls this year. The awards I agreed with were:

Undertale for Worst Fanbase, Most Hated Game, and Best Soundtrack.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt for Least Worst Game.
Super Mario Maker for Best IP Twist.
Fallout 4 for Worst Writing, Worst Graphics, and Most Blatantly Promoted Game.
Her Story for Worst Gameplay and Most Pretentious Indie Game.
Star Wars Battlefront for Most Disappointing Game.

I agree with Mario Maker and Battlefront, but that's about it

I'm just going to say it: people who are taking the whole Tay AI thing way too seriously with comments saying things like "lobotomy" and "AI rights" are making me cringe. It's a fucking chatbot, not a sentient being that knew what the fuck it was talking about.

-People that don't understand "grey morality" (Not taking a particular side) in debates should not be having debates in the first place.

-Nobody in the current election is a good candidate.

-Pokken's roster is too small, even with potential DLC. The whole premise of the series is having hundreds of different monsters to choose from, so why such a small selection? I understand that making new fighters is probably a lot of work, but come on, 16? With two clones to boot? That's less than 2% of the Pokemon. I'm not saying it's a bad game though, having never played it and having heard mostly good things otherwise.

-The whole "FE Fates Localization dispute" is a joke. Sorry you can't virtually pet your waifu like a creep, get the fuck over it. It's NOT about the translations and you damn well know it.

Is this my first time posting here? Well…
I don't find Real Time Strategy games fun at all.
I don't seem to find the main series Final Fantasy games fun, either. Spin-offs tend to be pretty nice, though.
And last, the one that a lot of people just don't seem to get… after many, MANY tries, I still can't get myself to like Monster Hunter's series. It bores me.

Edit: Thanks Post button for making two copies of this comment. That was great!

The Horseshoe Theory is flawed; it simplifies way too much, and in the end, it's just praising centrism as the best answer to everything.

I honestly kinda feel ashamed of using this site. I see a lot of rather negative reactions just by the mention of the word "meme" and they will call it cancer and shit and stuff (mostly outside of this website, like tumblr or such).

The main reason I still stay on this website is the Undertale gallery. I have seen a handful of users who think the KYM community is well-behaved and respectable, but for me, I think it is not any different from other communities such as YouTube. One big gripe I have is that a surprising amount of users can take a clearly humorous joke way too seriously (Have you seen the comments in the Smash Bros. gallery? It's nearly impossible to find a Melee-related image without someone lighting up a flamewar to talk about the "right" way to play Smash,) as well as display a frightening amount of bias against certain franchises just by casually bringing them up (MLP: FiM and FNAF are some of the biggest scapegoats whenever the topic is about the worst fanbase or worst anything, really.) I know that there are a lot of good people on this site and that many of the bad ones I stumble upon may only be in the vocal minority, but damn is that minority hurting my ears.

Holy shit Monster Hunter (4) bored me too, thought I was just weird.

I'm personally annoyed by peoples who watched praised Chivalry of a failed Knight. I can see why peoples liked the show, but I don't like the writing…

… it's unpopular opinion after all, the show isn't really popular in know your meme, right?

I don't think public shaming, doxxing, cyberstalking, and dogpiling are exclusive to anti-SJWs or SJWs (both love accusing each other of being the sole offender). I believe it is a distinctly Millennial phenomenon rooted in the generation's cultural upbringing, and the design of social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter. The former has resulted in a collectivist mindset regardless of political beliefs that promotes a mob mentality, and the latter has made it really easy to commit these shameful tactics.

I think video games should be even more violent and gory, so people could act out all of their sick things ingame rather than to real people. I feel like this is an unpopular opinion since people seem to want to censor so much and all.

Haven't you ever heard of the Red Scare or witch trials? This same thing has been going on for literally millennia. Stop blaming "millenials" for shit that's just human nature.

I never said they created it; I said that their upbringing made them especially susceptible to a particularly nasty strain of it. Specifically the ritual of "calling out" and public shaming, which Boomers and Gen X are horrified by.

They're a bunch of fucking hypocrites. The Boomers were adults and the Gen Xers were children back during the Red Scare, and they're both responsible for perpetuating the communist hysteria. If anything, they were worse than millennials with public shaming.

  • Filthy Frank has gotten too edgy lately. Cool, you're giving yourself lung cancer. You don't have to cram that in every video.
  • As much as I HATE Leafy (he's not funny and I'm not going to fucking watch CS:GO gameplay while someone carelessly talks), H3H3 was kind of hypocritical in making a video about him.

You can include me on that, it's a good show to watch when you just wanna turn off your brain for a while. It's just entertaining silly fun.

Another opinion I had that I didn't realize was unpopular until recently:

Sex is alright. It's not the ultimate thing to strive for in life, and it's not the absolute worst thing in the world that corrupts people. I've seen way too many people take one extreme or the other. You don't like sex? You're a loser virgin that won't accomplish anything in life. You like sex? You're a depraved, perverted piece of shit.

And this also includes hentai and rule 34. Apparently those are less valid as art and liking them somehow invalidates you and your opinion because sex is icky I guess?

Sometimes I wish people would grow out of the "ew, sex" or "HA, sex!" mentality.

This. This so hard. I agree 100%. Sex is overrated, both ways.

This one's more geared towards Fire Emblem Fates but I'd consider this as an unpopular opinion:

I actually like Takumi. Yeah he goes too far when being suspicious towards Corrin and Azura for being Nohrians in the beginning, but if you played Birthright I think he's a pretty cool character. In Conquest, I could see why he comes off as unlikable to people, but (setting this as a spoiler just in case)…

He's possessed and can't help but act that way. Even Azura knows something's up with him.

That also reveals how he feels: pretty jealous and feeling that he couldn't live up to his siblings. With my gameplay of Birthright and the supports I've done, I've warmed up to him. Plus, I enjoyed using him a lot in the game.
He's not my favorite of the Hoshidan siblings (that honor goes to Hinoka), but he's far from the worst character.

I'm not sure if this has already been said, but I'll say again anyways.

As a homosexual, seeing pride parades (if they're still a thing) tend to give me a feeling of uneasy cringiness. Sure they are trying to promote equality, but the messages they sometimes give off is not beneficial to the homosexual community.
Not every single gay person you see or meet is all rainbows and unicorns and skinny white boys wearing banana hammocks. Things like those are what gives us a bad name.

I lost interest in Dreemurr Reborn. Back when the blog was only a few weeks old, I felt intrigued by the concept surrounding the AU, and the author did a good enough job of presenting the story for me to bookmark the page. However, one major flaw that arose later was the characterisation of Sans in the story arc 'The Mistake'. When Asriel enters the hall leading up to Asgore's throne room, Sans is understandably pissed when he believes that Asriel absorbed Frisk's SOUL by force. I thought Sans was going to deliver a harsh speech to him and lose his trust in him for a good portion of the blog, but what the skeleton ends up doing instead is to slam and drag the kid against the floor, whack his head with a giant bone club and blast him with Gaster Blasters. Remember, this is the guy who tries to see something good in people and never attacks you even if you raised your LV to 18 and killed his own damn brother. I don't know why, but many people portray Sans as a trigger-happy jackass who almost never gets any comeuppance for all the shit he pulls off, and this is the reason I never liked his portrayal in Dreemurr Reborn ever since that one story arc.

I could name a few more reasons I lost interest in the blog, but I don't want my post to become a whole wall of text.

Seeing Norwegianguy's post, I'm going to post some of my unpopular Undertale opinions.

I dislike how Sans is potrayed in some of the fanworks, especially the frowning, crying or angry Sans. In-game, Sans is a very chill dude even when he's angriest (his fight in Genocide run). Seeing him frown (is he even capable of doing that?) or something else feels completely out of character, even if it's fanworks. It's like Chrono suddenly had a personality of Kefka.

I like Flowey better than Asriel. I dunno, I was never crazy over Asriel. Maybe because he's not that interesting compared to Flowey.

"I like Flowey better than Asriel."

On a serious note, Sans is somewhat capable of dropping his grin, as seen when you kill him right at the end of the battle against him. He looks more like he is forcing a smile for a photo shoot as a result, but he still hasn't canonically frowned so far.

Plus, you never see him completely alone, as even you're there. We don't really know if he's always smiling when he's alone. The fan creations often involve him in his solo times, which are entirely up to headcanon.

-People who support Donald Trump purely because to oppose political correctness are fucking morons. I can understand why people would support Donald Trump (they're tired of the establishment, they're desperate, etc.), but supporting him because you believe he'll stop the politically correct feminists and SJWs? At the cost of potentially affecting the US in ways you won't like? Don't support him because of such dumb reasons.

-Speaking of which, people (be they antifeminists/anti-sjws) who hate the political left/liberalism because of said feminists/sjws and join the political right (including more than a few GGers, but not all of them) to oppose them are also morons. Hating liberalism/the left because of radical feminists and SJWs is like hating the right wing because of white supremacists and (invoking Godwin's Law here) neo-Nazis.

Calculator_Fetishist needs to stop. He's probably one of the most annoying shitposters this site has had. At least with someone like Emperor Palpitoad they were able to have the odd moment where they said something worthy of upvotes, but Calculator_Fetishist has said/done nothing of value during his entire time on KnowYourMeme

I kinda agree, though I am a little new to wrestling again, so maybe if I came back to wrestling some years ago, my opinion of him (or rather his character) would be less than stellar. Still, regardless of how much people like him or simply don't mind him, the guy's got so much heat on him now, and it seems too late for the smarks to like him unless he turns heel (which, I think, seems to be the case based on his behavior on RAW). I actually feel sorry for the guy.

I don't know if this an unpopular wrestling opinion or not, but I don't see why so much people dislike or hate Triple H. I mean, I know that people like what he's done with NXT, but before, he seemed like, as TV Tropes puts it, a base breaker for many wrestling fans.

I love activism, but I really hate mainstream social justice. I'm the person who is more involved in genocide recognition than getting fat people on vouge. At least I have my priorities straightened out!

I hate both gamergaters and social justice warriors for ruining the name of social justice and activism and belittling it in favor for pop-culture dumbfuckery. SJWs, especially the communist ones, should know better that video games are disposable gluts of capitalism and it's not meant to be real. I don't think GGers are real gamers. Are you going to worry about some brainwashed journalist's opinion on video games all day or are you going to play a fucking video game? Don't like it? Don't buy it. Vote with your dollars; It's basic economics people! I hate how spoiled, ignorant, and shallow some of them are.

I hate how they make activism a fashion trend for 2010-2020. Making available in fancy buzzwords so the uneducated masses can pretend to be more intelligent than they really are without learning anything. Make it so mainstream that it silences the real people making real changes in the world around them. Further silencing groups that are already oppressed because someone wearing a scarf disagrees with them. They prey on someone's emotions first, then their conscious, and finally their sense of logic. No good deed goes unpunished.

I'd rather do some obnoxious frat bro's stinky laundry over these two. At least I could be potty train him.

I hate atheists as well. One of them picked a fight with me over what religion I practiced and I got suspended/almost faced expulsion! He started it and that godless heathen got away unpunished. That's what I get for choosing the worst college of all of New England. Smug asshats the lot of them can be. They think they're the smartest beings in the whole universe for admitting evolution exists. Big deal. They can't even comprehend some theoretical/nonphysical concepts.

They don't even mention regard the negative movements spawning from Darwinism . Heard of Eugenics? You know the thing that came from social darwinism and was used in Nazi policies? Also further oppressed minorities of major first world countries for much of the 19th and 20th century these same atheist want to protect? Ironic how they cry "oh this species is extinct humans are the worst" when Darwin talks about survival of the fittest. Also Darwin's ideas weren't as original as entirely planned and he regretted creating this. Never ever a word was uttered from the subject of them!

Don't even mention them about Hume, Kant, or Rand, as they will never discuss anything about them outside of their Dawkins/Neitzche circle.

I also like Flowey better than Asriel. Mostly because there wasn't nearly enough screentime to give Asriel a personality that sticks, compared to how obviously evil Flowey was.

Plus, I feel as though people like Asriel more than Flowey is because Asriel is straight up more physically appealing. Just try to fuck a flower.

-I hate it when people use autism as an insult.

-I prefer dubs of animes over subs for one main reason: I'm spending less time trying to read what the characters are saying and more time watching the actual show. True, there are some instances where I prefer the subbed version, such as the first two seasons of Digimon (Tamers' English dub is actually pretty good, considering the time it was made and that's it a dub of a kid's show.), but I generally prefer having English audio over subtitles.

-I actually kinda liked Sonic '06, and I think people are being hyperbolic when they say Sonic '06 is the worst thing ever.
