About
Pumkin is a clip from the educational game "Pumkin Online English Course" that is often used in YouTube videos, such as YouTube Poop and other edited videos. The clip used features a website from a company dedicated to improving children's English education. The site hosts multiple games, but the most popular by far is "Hungry Pumkin". In it, you have to give food to a Pumpkin character (a pumpkin with arms, legs, and a face, which is animated very choppily).
At the start of the game, he enters the eating establishment, stating "I'm very hungry". He will then sit down in front of you and demand various types of food, by saying phrases such as "Give me the Sandwich" or "Give me the French Fries". If you give him the correct food, he will devour it whole (this includes gnashing into salt and pepper shakers with glass and all, and "eating" a glass of juice by throwing the whole thing into his mouth). If you give him the incorrect food, however, he will swipe it away, saying "NO! I don't want that!" Once he's full, he critiques the player's performance and walks out without paying.

YouTube user Dr. Face (69Starmix96) cemented the fad a month later with "Scout is Hungry", featuring Team Fortress 2's Scout, whose head was placed over Pumkin's and whose dialogue was edited to resemble Pumkin's. As of April 2013, this video has 1,324,119 views and a multitude of fad responses featuring other characters standing in Pumkin's place.
