Good to know I'm not the only one who noticed that.
What I find frustrating about that is the amount of gaslighting there is and will be afterwards that it doesn't happen, or that they're the "real victims" or whatever other deflection of responsibility for their deliberate cruelty. We're barely even past a week into the confirmation of the election results, and it's surprising how quickly the 2016-era rhetoric has picked back up. Nothing changes, nothing was learned from that side either.
My case is less personally dangerous, but I find it surprising how quickly the MAGA are back about "buying" or "taking" Greenland. You'd think after Russia's attempt with Ukraine they wouldn't be so blatant like that (and it's not random people, but a representative that is involved).

I would argue that no…Trump is not all that charismatic, just because the republicans adore him doesnt mean he is all that naturally charming, in fact everyone around him seems to think he is an unlikable prick even his own wife, while she must have some affection towards him, can barely tolerate him….
What Trump has is perception and intelligence not charisma, he is not that likable he is just really good at exploiting opportunitties and manipulating events in his favour.
We like to potray him as an idiot but the guy is an excellent schemer and good at deception, and he is a millionare CEO even if not flawless, he is smart in his own ways for good or for ill.
If it wasnt for Hillary being so goddamn unlikable he would had never had a chance of building the fanbase he did he is just been really smart in capitalizing in that lucky roll he had years ago and riding that wave.

Funny how the GOP happens to benefit greatly from that two-tiered system, especially with how Orange Man escaped jailtime with the help of the judge slow-walking his sentencing and the Democrats dropping the ball.
With any hope, the Republicans could make it easier to leave the US. Conservatives will often say "if you don't like America, then leave!", but the US government makes it very difficult for US citizens to emigrate out of the country, as it assumes that folks are doing it to evade taxes.
