No idea. But it might explain how Red Ash might be still going into production despite not meeting its kickstarter goal. This time the new game is being scrutinized by Games Journalism and 'fans alike'

It says that it was funded by a Chinese company.
And there's a fucking anime being planned.

I'm not sure what to call this law. I thought about Quinn, but she's done so much more and so much worse than just that. Sarkeezian, same issue. Wu is a psychotic who deserves no recognition, even if it's for being the inspiration for a law/rule of thumb like this.
I would call it Jackie's law or Sulkowitz law for the feminists who falsely accused men of rape to get attention.

OH yeah, and the anime met it's Kickstarter goal
She's just a few green and purple stripes away from being one of ours.

I've heard girl's toys get blamed for reinforcing stereotypes and sexism, so I wonder if they'll blame this for showing unrealistic things since game development isn't all that pretty. It's full of long work hours with little or no pay. I doubt they will complain about that, however, since being a game developer seems more acceptable than what Barbie dolls have been like forever.

Three words: Megaman Legends Successor
But yeah there are a lot of issues with Mighty No.9:
The game's release schedule being all over the place
the Community Manager getting the position through nepotism
General ignorance to the fanbase
And abysmal marketing
At least it was better than nothing
I'm curious, though, to see how well the game was received in Japan. The gameplay probably is not that much different but I'm sure the dialogue isn't as stiff.
OH right, NEWS.
The new South Park Game, Fractured Butthole But Whole is trying to be more inclusive in their own way.
Developer claims to have lost a quarter of a million dollars of revenue in grey market despite the math being way off. (at worse it's about a 20k loss)
There's some more drama in the r/Kia and v/Kia threads but currently it's still all losely related GG and Games, that or I'm bad at selecting talking points. Either way have fun talking ethics!

Feel bad for everyone who was scammed.
And what does the South Park article say? They're the last people that I expect to give into SJWs.

From what I can gather they're adding a girl mode, where the characters will treat you differently because of your gender. Sort of like how they would treat you differently based on your race class in the last game.
"We’ve had this issue. In other video games, you can choose to be black, you can choose to be a girl. In our game, we’re finally gonna do that. You can be a girl. Very revolutionary. Very 2016 of us."

Oh. That's fun. I can't wait to see Cartman be Cartman if you pick a black girl.
And I can send over my character from the first game?

No idea, I'm not the developer and the article did not mention it
But someone's salty about their blacklisting

That said, It's a pretty dry day for new dramatic news (watch me jinx it) directly involving the movement with only stories but not concrete facts to go on. Currently there's rumors that Gamergate supporters were involved in the Guccifer 2.0 attack on the DNC, but no mention of GG itself.
Anita has doubled down, stating her analysis of Hitman is accurate and anyone that tells her otherwise "hasn't played the game"
Comparisons have been sprouting up on Mighty No.9's general lack of content despite funding compared to other crowdfunded games.
And there's general complains about how a bestselling game (witcher 3) from one company shouldn't affect the decisions of another (Bioware).
Everything else appears to be loosely related to videogames.

Question: If a game developer or holding company sends fraudulent DMCA noticed to take down reviews, do additional side effects for that include creating a conflict of interest between the holding company and the reviewer? Although this conflict of interest is a negative one.

Only if they edit the review upon reposting it or the incident is so bad that it ends up tainting any future reviews. In which case an admission must be made in the form of "We have had bad relations with this company in the past, please take that into account".
At least that is what I think is the case.

Hotwheels stepped down as admin of 8chan due to burnout & health issues, now he's just working on the coding end.
The new admin is Ron the Codemonkey, chief dev of 2channel. He has a twitter here.

(Also, having trouble capturing this becuase IGN doesn't like Archive.is. ) In deluxe editions with the 50$ tie in game of Ghostbusters (the female reboot) the movie will be included as well. While this normally would be a fun promotional for that other game (classic ghostbusters 1&2 with the video game with the cast to tie it all together) it feels like a money grab from Sony.
And on the topic of reboots, Power Rangers is getting one with Bryan Cranston (Walter "Heisenberg" White and Hal [Malcom's dad]) as Zordon. Here's hoping he'll be enough to make the reboot more awesome than… whatever cash grab Ghostbusters, Transformers and TMNT is turning/has turned into

I want a remastered version of the 2009 Ghostbusters game.
And wasn't Cranston in the old Power Rangers shows?

According to a Power rangers wiki he provided voices to two of the monsters in the first season.

Welcome to how SOCJUS works, the leaders don't really care about what they're crying over, it's just an excuse to get money/power and harm others.
Although given how Zoe shows every red flag of borderline personality disorder it's perfectly possible she is genuinely anally apocalyptic over anything that shows her as less then a 100% perfect victim of a world-spanning anti-Zoe conspiracy.
That's a classic characteristic of BPD (Rapp has the same).

It's possible that Felicia knew it was Paper Mario and that's just how she asks what a game is. Although she could ask "What Mario game is it?" or "What Paper Mario game is it?". I dunno. I'll try not to act real nit-picky and make a hug deal about it, but it does seem kind of funny. Mario is obviously very popular and Paper Mario has had plenty of success, so yeah, there's a chance.

Some clarification of how Shufflegate happened
But because five fun guys (fungi -s) being a reference to Mario Party 8 and not Five Guys, and Shufflegate being a reference Watergate not Gamergate… it's the odd timing of the jokes fired of in succession that triggered the church of "Our Martyr: Saint Chelsea Van Valkenburg" I mean "Zoe Quinn"
I was pretty certain it was a generic "watergate" reference rather than GG, looks like a lot of people just looked too deeply into the joke and assumed it was something else. Surprised NoA actually commented on it by saying "it's really more of an unfortunate coincidence more than anything."
EDIT and TV TROPES WARNING: Hell, remember there's an entire trope dedicated to this subject called Scandalgate

Im surprised they commented on this, but not why they're butcherng Paper Mario. :/
Actually they kinda-sorta did. The producer of Color Splash said "well we've got Mario and Luigi as our successful Mario RPG franchise now, so we figured we'd do something different with Paper Mario." Basically it seems to be a situation of "Nintendo doesn't really want two Mario RPG franchises competing with one another, so while one stays a traditional RPG the other one veers into different territory." That actually reminds me of how the producers of Hyrule Warriors originally wanted to make the game feel more like traditional Zelda, but the side at Nintendo was like "no we've already got that covered, just make your game more like your own Dynasty Warriors games." Granted in that case it worked in their favor since there never was a previous "Hyrule Warriors" that played very differently from the one we got in 2014.
But now I'm probably getting too off topic.

Ugh
They should at least make it like Super Paper Mario then. One of the most underrated games ever
Sometimes I feel Nintendo is about to do with Mario what Sega did to Sonic. I just hope we still get some good or decent Nintendo games from time to time without being butchered by localization as if Ted Woosley (The "Son of a submarineer" guy) was back. My dream is for Disney and Nintendo making an agreement to bring back the Spectrobes franchise. At the time it was better than Pokémon because Pokémon was not as centered around a good and firm story. That changed with B&W.

Reading more about the game, and developers, I am actually repulsed at the game. The game and developers are too much into identity politics and I hate that. The only form of identity politics I want in gaming is mockery at identity politics.

Why. This looks like garbage. Almost as bad Mighty Number Nine

The only thing I knew about this company (Midboss) beforehand was they threw a shit fit on Twitter when Allison Rapp was let go from Nintendo of America because they initially bought into the bullshit story that she was fired because of "Gamergate harassment" or something. Later when they were corrected on the situation they only offered a rather lackluster sounding "whoops, our bad" and made some big stink like "WE'RE NEVER GONNA BRING OUR GAMES TO NINTENDO CONSOLES!" and the collective response was "we've never heard of you before and you never released anything of note anyway, so that just sounds like an empty threat."

I tried to check their information and could not find any release at all. They exist since 2012 and only now they are releasing something apparently. And the development started like one or two years ago I think. So, for like four or five years the only thing they ever did was preaching identity politics in gaming conventions. That is disgusting, that is parasitism.

Here's a good solution to bad games like this one. Don't buy it.
roberthaha wrote:
The whole "it's a reference to Watergate" thing is most likely true.
It takes years to make a game, even a company as big as Nintendo. They probably had that joke written in a year or more in advance, way before the events of GamerGate happened.
The similarities are still uncanny.
It was doomed right at the beginning.
It's becoming increasingly evident that people like this bring in that incredibly destructive spirit wherever they go. And she was put in charge of it all. Even if they're not running things, just them having input, just them being there is enough to corrupt the whole project. Everything she did was a textbook sign of SJW/feminist degeneration. This project was ruined, through and through.
It is a spiritual, psychological cancer.

- The music is deplorable. It's so cheap, generic, uninspired and "Tumblr happy," (it's weirdly hard to describe) that it makes me feel physically ill listening to it. Same goes for the SFX.
- The art style is uninspired and unimaginative. Lousy, even.
- The character designs are absolute garbage. They're all look like Tumblr OCs.
- Most the voice actors look like hipster, Tumblr OCs… which is not at all surprising.
- The voice acting is vomit inducing. Not even good enough to be amateur.
- Even just from that little bit dialog, it is abundantly clear that this is going to be insufferably preachy and so "progressive" it will leave a slimy residue on your screen.
I think you'd have to be operating at just above "zombie-level" in order to have anything to do with this pile.
EDIT: Jim Sterling and Quinn…….
