About
The Incredibles is a 2004 computer-animated film about a family of superheroes who are forced out of retirement by the supervillain Syndrome. A sequel to the film is expected to be released in mid-June 2018.
History
On November 5th, 2014, The Incredibles was released in theaters in the United States. In the film, the Parr family hides their super powers while attempting to live a quiet life, before being attacked by the supervillain Buddy Pine (a.k.a. Syndrome).
The Incredibles 2
In May 2015, director Brad Bird confirmed that The Incredibles 2 would be his first movie.[3][4] In October 2016, Disney announced that the film would be released on June 15th, 2018.[5]
Online Presence
On April 18th, 2008, an official Facebook[14] page for the film was created, which gathered upwards of 7.3 million likes over the next nine years. A page listing short bios for each of the character in the film is hosted on the official Disney website.[15]
On YouTube
On Aug 16th, 2013, YouTuber EmpLemon uploaded a YouTube poop video titled "The UNcredibles," which received upwards of 4.7 million views and 8,000 comments over the next four years (shown below).
On June 2nd, 2015, YouTuber Quebz uploaded a montage parody featuring clips from The Incredibles (shown below, left). On Jul 30, the Cinema Sins YouTube channel uploaded a video titled "Everything Wrong With The Incredibles In 10 Minutes Or Less," which gathered upwards of 11.6 million views and 9,400 comments over the next two years (shown below, right).
Fandom
On the /r/FanTheories[11][12][13] subreddit, several threads about The Incredibles have been created, in which fans speculate about various theories regarding ambiguous elements in the film. On Tumblr, several fan blogs dedicated to the film have been created, including Fuck Yeah The Incredibles,[7] The-Incredibles Blog[8] and Texts From The Incredibles.[9] On DeviantArt, thousands of fan illustrations and cosplay photographs inspired by the film have been submitted (shown below).

What Are You Waiting For?
"What Are You Waiting For?" is a line uttered by Mr. Incredible to a young boy riding a tricycle, which has been used in a series of multi-pane image macros expressing anticipation for a variety of things (shown below).[2]
Bomb Voyage
In May 2017, image macros and photoshops featuring The Incredibles villain Bomb Voyage began appearing on Reddit. On May 14th, a thread about Bomb Voyage was submitted to 4chan /co/ (comics & cartoons) board.[10] On May 17th, a thread featuring a picture of Bomb Voyage Redditor skullgamer submitted a post speculating that Bomb Voyage memes were "on rise" to the /r/MemeEconomy[6] subreddit, many of which depict the character as a terrorist and suicide bomber.
