About
Sadako Ceiling TV Redraws refers to a redraw trend that was popularized online in early March 2024 when X / Twitter user @waziot posted an image of a television attached to a high ceiling, saying that they would watch The Ring video on it and make Sadako (aka the "Ring Girl") fall from a height that breaks her neck. Over the following days, artists on X began posting art featuring different ways in which Sadako from The Ring might fall or descend from the ceiling television set.
Origin
Sadako is a ghostly woman who acts as the main antagonist in the horror movie series The Ring. She is typically depicted as wearing white robes with long dark hair hiding her face. Sadako is summoned via a videotape showing her emerging from a well, after which she climbs through people's televisions and kills them unless they pass on the tape within seven days.
