About
Brazilian Sadako refers to a series of fan art, animations and memes that imagine Sadako, the ghost from The Ring, as a Brazilian woman. The artworks depict Sadako as a young tanned Brazilian woman with dark circles around her eyes and long black hair, often wearing denim shorts with the thong sticking out and a yellow crop top with the flag of Brazil. Following the Brazilian Miku trend of Fall 2024, Twitter artist Lughost posted the earliest known Brazilian Sadako fan art in late October.
History
The Brazilian Miku art trend began in June 2024, with internet artists reimagining popular Vocaloid character "Hatsune Miku"::/memes/subcultures/hatsune-miku-vocaloid as a tanned Brazilian girl.
