Perc 30 or Percocet 30 is a misnomer used among drug users to refer to oxycodone-based drug pills which contain 30 milligrams of active components. While oxycodone-containing products produced under the Percocet brand are not available in the 30 mg dosage, some similar medicinal products are. Starting in October 2019, memes imagining what extremely large dosages of the drug, such as Perc 3 Million, could look like, gained popularity online.
Origin
In 1976, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration first approved oxycodone/acetaminophen, brand name Percocet, a combination of the opioid oxycodone with acetaminophen, used to treat moderate to severe short-term pain.[1] Together with OxyContin and other prescription opioids, Percocet is popular among drug users and is ingested as pills or via other methods.
In popular culture, Percocet or "percs" or "perkys" are mentioned in a number of hit rap songs, including 2016 "Mask Off" by Future and 2017 "Slippery" by Migos.[2] Rapper Lil Peep, who died from drug overdose on November 15th, 2017, made references to recreational Percocet use in his songs and made social media posts about taking the drug.[3]
Use in Memes
In memes, Perc 30 has been used as a punchline in posts on social media, particularly on Twitter and Instagram. Memes representing the effects of taking Percocet in a humorous manner are one of the popular meme formats connected to the drug. For example, a September 5th, 2019, post by Twitter user @noahgotice imagining the effects of taking a Perc 30 gained over 4,900 retweets and 14,900 likes.[4]

Perc 3 Million
On October 5th, 2019, Twitter user @CheifBoyRdThey tweeted a still image from episode 147b "Shellback Shenanigans" of season seven of SpongeBob SquarePants in which a nurse offers character Plankton a large pill, joking that the pill is a Perc 30 (shown below).[5] The tweet received over 70 retweets and 230 likes in two months.
Before October 8th, 2019, an unknown user created a Fuck It, X meme based on the image captioned "Fuck It, Perc 3 Million." Starting on October 8th, 2019, the image was widely circulated online, with posts on Twitter,[6][7] Reddit[8] and other social media platforms.
In the following months, memes imagining extremely large doses of Percocet gained popularity online, with notable examples posted on Twitter, Reddit and iFunny. For example, a tweet posted by Twitter user @BrendanDaGawd on November 4th, 2019, gained over 9,300 retweets and 43,000 likes (YouTube reupload shown below).[9]
