About
Amouranth is the online handle of Twitch streamer Kaitlyn Siragusa. She is known for her sexy cosplay and adult content, leading to accusations of being a "Twitch Thot." After it was revealed she was married, she was accused of scamming her viewers who believed she was single.
History
Siragusa is a native of Houston, Texas. She began streaming in 2016[1] and has amassed over 768,000 Twitch followers[2] and over 1 million Instagram subscribers.[3] She also runs a Patreon where she sells NSFW content.[4] She also has a subreddit that has over 8,100 subscribers (clips shown below).[5]
Marriage Reveal
On June 15th, 2018, YouTuber L OF THE DAY posted a video exposing that Amouranth was married to a man named Nick Lee. He accused Amouranth of lying to her subscribers, using clips in which she stated she was single, and suggested that she lied in order to have her patrons think that they might have a romantic chance with her (of note, the information that Amouranth is married was publicly available on Facebook).
The video caused problems for Amouranth, who later gave a statement to SyFy[1] saying she had been doxxed and harassed since the information became public. She also stated she wanted the L of the Day video taken down. She also appeared to sarcastically respond to the controversy in one of her streams,[6] saying:
"Haven't you heard the news? Every female on the internet is eligible to be dated by people who see her. She's an eligible candidate for every person who sees her. That is the law of the land.
No matter where she lives, no matter what their compatibility might be, no matter what their sexual preferences are, anything. If she's on the internet, 'bobs and vagene', you can date her."
In November, a few examples of the fallout from the controversy spread online in mockery of the supporters who believed they had a romantic shot with her. One example is an old clip form a ComicCon stream in which a moderator of one of her chats attempts to give her a high five and is ignored (shown below).
Another example is a screenshot of a message exchange between one of her moderators and herself in which the moderator expresses disappointment and anger at the discovery of her marital status. The exchange was posted to /r/cringetopia on November 28th, 2018 (shown below).
