Ninja Rages at Kid, or simply Ninja Raging, refers to a recording of Mixer streamer Tyler "Ninja" Blevins verbally abusing an opponent during an H1Z1 match in February 2017. After Ninja addressed the issue of bullying during a live broadcast in March 2018, the recordings were widely circulated online to mock the streamer.

Origin

In February 2017, during a now-unavailable H1Z1 Twitch broadcast, Ninja verbally abused an opponent nicknamed OnionCSGO, supposedly a child, by screaming, insulting them and mocking their laughter[1].

The fuck did you say to me, you little shit? [forced high-pitch laughter] How are you not in fucking school? You kiss your mother with that mouth? It's called you kiss your mother with that fucking mouth? Huh? Huh? [high-pitch laughter] Because the fucking youth of [unintelligible screaming]. You shut up when I'm talking to you, you shut your mouth!

On February 21st, 2017 YouTube channel Twitch Flow uploaded the recording (shown below, left). In two years, the video gained over 120,000 views. On February 24th, the Twitch Plays YouTube uploaded a similar video (shown below, right), which gained over 1.3 million views within the same time period.

On March 21st, 2018, Ninja addressed the issue of bullying during his stream and urged his audience to never bully other people[2].

On March 27th, 2018, YouTuber Coolea uploaded a video titled "Do not bully people" – Ninja", in which he combined the two stream recordings, alluding to hypocrisy in Ninja's appeal (shown below, left). The video received over 3.3 million views in 9 months. On May 6th, YouTuber Slushier uploaded a video titled "Ninja on Bullying", showcasing more examples of verbal abuse and unsportsmanlike behaviour from the streamer (shown below, right). The video gained over 2.8 million views in 7 months.

On June 26th, 2018, YouTuber Bakbak uploaded a video presenting the recording in a form of an Annoyed Bird meme. The video gained over 16,200 views in 6 months.

On August 3rd, 2018, Instagram user swedges.co posted an Everyone Is Here edit of the stream footage. The post gained over 7,600 likes in 5 months.

The recording gained a boost in popularity after on December 6th, 2018, Ninja was featured in the 2018 YouTube Rewind. On the same day, YouTuber Joshy posted an edit of a scene from the YouTube Rewind to Twitter[3]. The post gained over 5,000 retweets within two weeks.


On December 7th, 2018, the meme was featured in YouTube Rewind review posted by PewDiePie[4].

On December 20th, 2018, YouTuber Dolan Darker uploaded another version of the meme. The video gained over 180,000 views in 4 days.
