yellow scleras, implying that blue only depends on yellow cyan colour, not blue like the other figure implies that maybe yellow has eyes for somebody else? but, blue + green cyan, which could imply that Yellow depends on more than one person and doesn't know how to decide Yellow is covering Blue's heart fully, reaching out and making sure that it only sees them this could mean that maybe Yellow sees Green in Blue, and that is why they are clinging on so tight + Then, there's the intersection between them both. It's red, the 3rd primary colour (Excluding Blue and Yellow, that are both already there.) The colour Red also has connotations of anger, regret and etc. This could mean that both parties know there is a third person involved (Green), but keep it between them. They don't speak about it, but both know it's there. That's why there is only red inbetween them and not all around them, like the orange. The area in which they both intersect is green. This further suggests that Yellow does not need Blue for who Blue is, but more so because Yellow sees Green (most likely some- one close to them in the past) in Blue. This could explain why Yellow's eyes are cyan, infront of them is Blue, but in their mind, is green. Now, for how Blue is holding yellow. It's short, lower, and not very tight. Blue knows that Yellow only hugs back because Yellow sees someone else in them, but holds on regardless. Because as stated before, Blue's heart only has yellow on it. It hurts to hold on, but it's the only option there is.

Some X users criticized the art that month for displaying a perceived lack of technical skill. For example, on December 25th, 2024, X[4] user @QuantumV3 quote-reposted it, writing, "why did people even like this I drew shit like that in ms paint when I was 8," garnering around 640 likes in two days.

Later that day, the same X[5] user quote-reposted a user defending the art in his comments, sharing a much worse drawing and writing, "my new amazing art I want ten billion likes," garnering over 2,800 likes in two days.

The criticism arguably had a Streisand Effect on the artwork, with numerous examples of redraws being posted online in the following days. On December 26th, X[6] user @cookiecat009 posted a redraw of the art that gained over 112,000 likes in a day.

On the same day, X[7] user @zxidart posted a defense for the art, writing, "art isn't just overcomplex hyperrealism, there is thought behind this piece that allows people connect and come with their own interpretations, which is why people find art fascinating," garnering over 65,000 likes in a day.
