Guy Tired After Sex is a redraw meme based on a picture of a man apparently exhausted in bed while his girlfriend takes a selfie above him. Some interpreted the photo as an implication the pair had just had sex. The photo became a template with which people drew original characters and characters from pop culture in their poses.

Origin

On April 11th, 2023, Facebook^[1] user Steven Huang uploaded a photo of a couple in which the man looks exhausted and asleep on the bed while the girl next to him is energetic and doing a "peace" sign to "爆廢公社" group. The post received more than 17,000 reactions and 9,700 shares in one week (shown below). Users there interpreted the photo as a post-sex selfie the woman had taken.

Over the following days, the photo grew popular as a subject of redraw memes. For example, on April 16th, 2023, Facebook^[2] user Nandana uploaded an edit by adding the character Risa Matoba from The Idolm@ster Cinderella Girls U149. The post received 247 reactions and 324 shares in four days (shown below, left). On the same day, Twitter^[3] user @nagiwww7 uploaded a redraw featuring Shenhe and Ganyu from Genshin Impact. The tweet received 910 retweets and more than 6,400 likes in four days (shown below, right).

On April 16th, 2023, Twitter^[4] user @flareza25 uploaded a redraw using the character Ui from Blue Archive. The tweet received 589 retweets and more than 3,800 likes in four days (shown below, left). The next day, Twitter^[5] user @kulo_jawa01 uploaded a redraw featuring the traveler and Keqing from Genshin Impact. The tweet received 832 retweets and more than 7,000 likes in three days (shown below, right).
