About
Doxxing Supreme Court Justices’ Home Addresses is a trend inspired by the overturning of Roe v. Wade in mid-2022 that involved leaking the home addresses of the conservative Supreme Court justices that voted for overturning Roe, comprised of Clarence Thomas, Brett Kavanaugh, Samuel Alito, Amy Coney Barrett and Neil Gorsuch. To some, this method of doxxing acted as a form of protest against the Court and resulted in protestors organizing outside of the Justices' homes, while others saw it as controversial to do so, inspiring viral debates online.
Origin
On June 24th, 2022, Roe v. Wade was officially overturned by a five to four vote in the Supreme Court. Among the five justices that voted to overturn Roe were Clarence Thomas, Brett Kavanaugh, Samuel Alito, Amy Coney Barrett and Neil Gorsuch, all being a part of the conservative majority of the Court.
The home address of Justice Clarence Thomas was the primary address targeted on the first day of the overturning. For instance, on June 24th, 2022, Twitter[1] user Luke_Mosiman tweeted a video of him confronting a protestor outside the Supreme Court about handing out Thomas' address to people. The video received roughly 491,200 views and 5,000 likes in three days (shown below).

Using the aforementioned video as evidence, the home addresses of each Justice were most likely shared at rallies, within group chats and on Discord servers containing protest organizers. As a result, on June 24th, 2022, a currently unknown Instagram user shared a Story that included the addresses of all five conservative Justices (shown below).
Spread
On June 24th, 2022, the Facebook[2] page Fully Automated Luxury Gay Space Communism 2: With a vengeance posted a My Child Will X meme that had Jesus saying, "My Child Will Respect The Privacy Of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas," while Satan provided Thomas' address and a Google Maps view of his home. The post received over 660 reactions and 450 shares in three days (shown below, left). Additionally, the Facebook page shared a link to an archived The Washington Post[3] article from 1995 that stated Thomas' address within it. This prompted the Facebook page to write, "Before people get mad at me this is public information," in their meme's description.
In subsequent reposts[4] of the meme, creators switched the positions of Jesus and Satan to show Jesus sharing Thomas' address instead (shown below, right).
On June 24th, Twitter user ventisigh posted a tweet[5] (since-deleted) that read, "her: you must live at [Thomas' address] if you think we fuckin / me:" and attached an image of Justice Clarence Thomas (shown below, left). The tweet received an unknown amount of likes, however, it was reposted to platforms like Instagram[6][7] multiple times. Also on June 24th, Twitter[8] user bandit_161 posted a quote retweet that shared a Zillow screenshot of Thomas' home, earning roughly 2,500 likes in three days (shown below, right).
More memes regarding all the Justices' addresses surfaced on social media going into the remainder of June 2022. For instance, on June 25th, the Instagram[9] page kanye_albania posted all of the Justices' addresses over a Rule 34 cartoon showing Lil Uzi Vert and Playboi Carti about to kiss, earning roughly 6,700 likes in two days (shown below).
On June 25th, 2022, Twitter[10] user ciskingdio expanded the doxxing to include Marjorie Taylor Greene in a QT that received over 400 likes in two days.
On June 25th, the New York Post[11] reported that multiple groups of protestors had gathered outside the homes of all five conservative justices. Photos of protestors outside of Justice Thomas' home were taken by Reuters (shown below, left), as well as protestors outside of Justice Kavanaugh's home (shown below, right). The New York Post did not cite any arrests that were made outside of the Justices' homes. However, news[12] broke on June 8th, 2022 of a man who was arrested near Brett Kavanaugh's house carrying a knife and a gun.
