Very niche channel talking about dated electronics and other audiovisual oddities. Usually pretty informative and in a lot of cases the channel host demonstrates some of them for us. He's also a competent musician

Schaffrillas Productions
Former YTPer who transitioned to video essays about various film/TV shows, what makes them work and what makes them doesn't. He's got a pretty good sense of humor and goes pretty in-depth in his analysis

YongYea
Actually good gaming journalism. He provides his sources, makes a clear distinction between reporting facts and giving his personal opinion on the matter, and is relaxing to listen to. Could be called Jimquisition's less shitpost-y distant cousin

The Exploring Series
The channel that sucked me into the SCP rabbit hole (although i knew of its existance already before that) he talks SCP lore unlike the majority of SCP Youtubers he doesn't just read the article out loud with dramatic effects he instead just summarizes it with his own words and explains what is going on which makes him very approachable he also has videos explaining other core concept of the SCP verse but SCP is not his only topic he also has covered Elder Scrolls lore and the Cthullhu Mythos as well as real life historical events and mythology and more (apparently he also wants to tackle Metal Gear Solid lore in the future)

A small channel but a unique one and kinda hard to pinpoint too He makes analysis and theory videos about games and franchises but he also tackles movies anime and comics from time to time some of his series so far are "Canon Ball" where he talks about confusing stories in games and how canon are they like which Resident Evil endings are actually canon or the many deaths of Johnny Cage "Adaptive Difficulty" where he tackles different adaptations of media and critiques how well they adapt the source meterial and "Wasted Potential" where he takes a character or game which he he explains could have been better while also giving his own ideas

Dead Meat

Mainly focused on horror movies. I primarily watch their main series, Kill Count, where they review horror movies and, as per the name, count the kills in the film. I enjoy how they go into detail about the production of the film and how the special effects work. They also do podcasts, but I generally don't watch anything over an hour long.

Modern Vintage Gamer

Mainly focused on console homebrew, modding and emulation.

Makes high quality 2008 era YouTube Poops of material that you thought couldnt be made into a YTP. Some material from older ones may get a reference in a newer one as well

Assorted vtubers like Nyanners, Omaru Polka, Pikamee, Artemis of the Blue, and more

Vtubers are a combination of someone playing a character and being themselves all at once while playing games, doing reaction content, etc, and of course like any lets player how much you'll enjoy them depends on your preference in games or personality (some people may prefer the bubbly personality of someone like Nene, while others might prefer the laid back Botan).

Matt McMuscles

Formerly of Super Best Friends Play, Matt has a successful solo channel where he still does lets plays, but also has the highly informative and entertaining "Wha Happun?", which covers mainly the making of various games and movies (both good and bad, but most of the time the bad ones).

GVMERS

Gaming documentary channel that feels akin to G4's old "Icons" show, goes pretty in depth in the history of various games and franchises (most popular is their "rise and fall" series which covers franchises that were once big hits and the unfortunate ends most of them ended up having, like Dead Space and Silent Hill).

Rebel Taxi/PanPizza

Reviewer who mainly covers animation but also occasionally branches out into videos on live action or video games. Covers cartoons both new and old, and it is thanks to him I got interested in checking out stuff like Bojack Horseman.

Saberspark

Another reviewer who mainly covers animation. Has carved out a certain niche where he likes covering obscure animated media, especially stuff that's pretty raunchy and often contains anthro characters.

penguinz0

Aka Critikal. Originally followed him for his old lets plays where his commentary hit this amusing spot of being both very dry but crude all at once. Still watch him for his assorted improv comedy stuff and his commentary videos. Not always in 100% agreement with the dude and I can understand if his style of humor maybe gets a bit too repetitive, but dude's got a certain charm that keeps me coming back.

Nexpo, Night Mind, ReignBot, Lazy Masquerade, and Shrouded Hand

Lumping these together since they cover similar topics. All are channels focused on horror and cover topics like internet mysteries, alternate reality games or series, or true crime topics like unsolved murders.

Dwars

Small time lets player who occasionally also does review videos. Main focus for him is shooters that either are actually old or at least replicate the look and feel of old shooters (aka "boomer shooters").

Civvie 11

Shooter focused reviewer with an entertaining sense of humor, often compared to both Ross Scott of Freeman's Mind fame or The Spoony One back when Spoony was still considered good. Has a framing device for his videos where he acts like he's a prisoner locked away deep underground for reasons unknown.

MandaloreGaming

Reviewer who mostly covers more obscure games, his content is well edited and much of his humor manages to land with me. Its thanks to him I checked out stuff like Warhammer 40K: Mechanicus, Paratopic, and the Pathologic series.

Berd

Most of his videos are just animated shitposts and I find them pretty amusing.

There are many more I could go on about but I'll end it here for now.

Cilvanis and The Keef Crew are their names, skits are their games. Recalling hilarious concepts from anime and videogames, they pull it off with great accordance to events from the past, present and future.

Mega64 are the big daddies of sketch comedies. Their harsh but cruel honesty of the industry and other areas that make an impact in the world of today are delivered with humerous outcomes. Making a sketch out in public? Ni problem. Recruiting giants of the industry as either cameos or full on interactions? Super good. Recreating entire storylines using the minimum equipment? It's good to go. The bottom of the well is endless for them. They'll take anything and everyone and they'll turn it all upside down with overwhelming, yet flawless results.

Fedelobo / Fedewolf is a mexican channel that specializes in summing up movies and games, respectively, while adding chaotic yet hilarious captions while the narration keeps its ongoing run and, at the same time, encompassing the reactions of several, diverse characters. Semi-reviews, playthroughs, unboxing videos, bloopers, Q&As, and other miscellaneous content are here to stay.

Raycevik focuses on video essays that digs deep into the mechanics of a particular product, either local or online, while showcasing its pros and cons, no matter how much he loves them. The work poured in, let's say, the X Years Later saga or the So I've Finally Played… series, is quite outstanding.

Matt McMuscles has gone above and beyond to unearth the insights of projects that were either disastrous or never saw the light of day. He was once a notorious member of the Super Best Friends. Now, embracing independence, he works and expands upon elements from games like their secret development histories or simply taking a look at titles that could be classified as "so bad they're good" or the unknown ones. He's a man of multiple ideas gearing towards infinite ends.

FootaFerret is the creator of series like A Brief History and Everything You Need To Know. In short, he lends you a helping hand to discover shows that you may or may not know or that you're still undecided to watch. The edits of the videos are so good as they are informative, mostly in order to help you find a particular way that you didn't know existed.

Stop Skeletons From Fighting goes to great lenghts to show to the world what's different between one version of a certain game to another, sometimes showing all the different versions that were created of the same game. Besides that, he usually goes for an inception-like look at things: finding things among certain procducts that can easily be missed. Reviewing strange gadgets are in the menu as well.

And the usual go-toers that speak on their own like Game Grumps, Maximillian Dood, Super EyepatchWolf, JonTron, Cinemassacre, PeanutButterGamer, Hotdiggedydemon, The Completionist and a large etcetera.

Super Best Friends Play I think they are fairly well known by general gaming audience on youtube so I don't think a description is needed. I still rewatch their old LP's long after the group broke up. I inconsistently follow WoolieVersus since I find his material to be closest to the old days. Oddly enough Woolie was my least favorite of the three, but I don't care for Matt and Pat's solo stuff at all.

Mark Felton Productions A historian who primary covers the more obscure and bizarre happenings of WW2 along with other conflicts

Fall of Civilizations a series of podcasts and docs dedicated to the rise and fall of civilizations as per its namesake.

History Matters very brief synopsis of various historical periods, conflicts, and oddities with a pinch of dry humor.

Forgotten Weapons I'm not a gun-nut in the slightest, but I enjoy the history and in depth mechanics behind historical firearms. It's very fascinating.

Borko This one is a stupid pleasure, but compilations of Sopranos clips. A community has evolved around the channel where everyone shitposts quotes from the show.

Then I have like a literal hundred or so Vocaloaid producers I'm subscribed too which I wont bother mentioning.

A mad scientist and a shotgun peglegged alcoholic redneck analyzes many pop culture characters and pit them in a fight to see who would win in a DEATH BATTLE!

False Swipe Gaming
Covers the competitive history of many Pokémon throughout the generations. Covers Smash Bros at times.

Down The Rabbit Hole
Covers many topics that are mix of horror, mysteries and documentary. Topics range from internet celebs fallouts, to tragic and horrifying events and to mundane and broad topics such as anime, furries and a history of a musical instrument. Also most of the runtime is around 1 to 3 hours long.

SsethTzeentach – like ManadloreGaming covers lesser known games, has a very dark/edgy style of humor and somehow is a genius at exploiting any game he's playing

Brandon Rogers – Comedic sketch artist/actor, has a very edgy sense of humor like Sseth but with amazing production values and comedic delivery. You might know him for being the lead/main writer for Helluva Boss, if you liked that, the stuff he does on his main channel would be right up your alley

Tasting History – Cooking meets history lessons, this guy recreates old recipes from different historical eras and goes into detail about the historical context surrounding those dishes or some related aspect to them

BuzzFeed Unsolved Network – good old morbid true crime mysteries, don't be turned off by the "Buzzfeed" part, this channel is gold and not the 2014 idpol bait you'd be used to

Ideologs – kinda niche channel which focuses on people who believe in all sorts of out there ideologies("ethical darwinism", "integralism", "Christian anarchism", etc.)

All Gas No Brakes – interview channel where the host goes across the country to all sorts of crazy events(proud boys rallies, furry conventions, etc.) and interviews people, posting the highlights

Rimmy – Downunder Gaming
Basically an Australian version of Soviet Womble with much more frequent videos.

Does in-depth product reviews of hardware synthesizers with demonstrations that help judge the sound character and capabilities of the instrument, alonside tutorials and patch ideas for said instruments. If you're any bit curious about these instruments, you'd might be interested in checking him out.

NFKRZ
Curious about Russia from a russian man's perspective? How about straight from within the country? This guy's got your back with common, casual day to day things of russian life as well as oddities foreigners might not be aware of. It's also serves as a sort of interesting test to see what is or isn't permisible for russians to tell the world regarding their own country.

Some other Classic Channels that i thouroghly enjoy:

Mattyburrito MB a small indy animation channel that is a mix of nintendo and original creation animations. He has a unique animation style and a very realistic sense of humor that makes his animations all enjoyable to watch. My favorite series is Pokemon Omega Rubyer. It has to be seen to fully enjoy it

Hydraulic Press Channel A channel from Finland that takes random items and put in a hydraulic press because science. Usually at the end of each video, there is "extra content " that involves dealing with something that is very dangerous and can attack at any time. they promptly "deal" with it.

oboeshoesgames is part of what i like to call 'youtubers with lore' and by that i mean that he was a plethora of running gags that really set him apart from the rest, he makes videos about Borderlands mostly but he also talks about Bionicle's, Skyrim, Ace Combat and Mount & Blade

Mitten Squad makes challenge runs of a variety of videogames with deadpan humor and progressively more chaotic content as more common challenge runs are completed and his need to get creative increases.

Senza is similar to Mitten Squad but with absurd humor and an extremely horny (not really) demeanor, he is also close to oboeshoesgames and they reference eachother in videos often.

BigCatDerek
The husband of the owner of a big cat shelter in Texas posts vlogs called Walk Around the Compound, where he goes up to greet the big cats that live there while providing some commentary.

Truegreen7
A Poketuber who will discuss various Pokemon related topics, and also one of the few who was not salty about Sw & Sh. Most of his videos of late though involve him drawing new kinds of Pokemon ideas of his own, so there's not much he does that I will watch of late.

Zeltik
A Zelda Youtuber who makes videos featuring various Zelda theories, rankings, and easter egg findings. Unlike some others of his kind e.g. Hyrule Gamer, his voice is the opposite of annoying, and I could listen to him all day.

Mitten Squad

Does challenges of random, but mostly Bethesda, videogames. His gameplay and the challenges are entertaining, but it's his unique taste of humor that is the highlight of the channel.

Sunburned Albino

Gaming channel of a stand-up comedian and musician. Funny humor, but very different from Mitten Squad. He doesn't do challenges, mostly regular gameplay and ranked lists. I usually stick to watching his lists due to his commentary.

Tomatoanus, Karl Jobst, Summoning Salt

These three are speedrun-oriented channels. Tomatoanus' is a Fallout speedrunner, but also covers some other speedruns from other players. Karl Jobst covers speedrunning-related news from a wide range of videogames. Summoning Salt does in-depth coverage (i.e. 20+ minutes) of classic Nintendo games.

LockpickingLaywer

As the name suggests, a channel about lockpicking. It doesn't seem to be an interesting topic at first, but his in-depth commentary is insightful.

Somecallmejohnny

Game reviewer who has a habit of drinking coffee. Loves Sonic, Metroidvanias, and is pretty chill.

Longtime Comic reviewer with a hat and a magic gun. Also made a bunch of cool robots but can’t make good arms for them. Mega Teen Titans, Power Rangers, and Star Trek nerd.

Satirical comedy news channel dedicated to bringing lesser discussed but quite important information surrounding the People's Republic of China.

Gamers Nexus
Contrary to the name, they aren't a gaming channel but rather one that focuses on Tech like say Linus Tech Tips or JayzTwoCents. Unlike those two, the video is pretty much a guy who covers pc parts and news without any fancy music or jokes but rather just going in-depth on them. Boring as they sound, it makes for good background noise to listen to directly or indirectly while I'm browsing webpages.

LazyGameReviews
Channel dedicated to pc gaming and pc hardware, mainly from the DOS era and the 2000's though the latter is more for Sims. Haven't seen all of his videos but the focus on pc's are interesting, especially for things like pc cases back then that had some unique designs and even going over the Hotwheels and Barbie computers that were known to fail when they came out.

Three channels that focus on video games. While they have their differences in style, I listed them together because they all cover old games like Thief, Might & Magic VIII, and Quake.

As mentioned above by another user, the channel gives perspective of Russia from the eyes of a Russian. Things I otherwise wouldn't know of. Also covered interesting things like the history of fast food in Russia

Life of Boris
Guy who plays a gopnik character. Never cared much for his videos beyond cooking which honestly makes me want to try the stuff he makes such as a honey cake. And being into pc's, I had enough interest to watch his video on making a vodka cooled pc.

Saberspark
As others said, guy who reviews animations, especially the kind that would be obscure to a US audience. Not a big watcher but the obscure stuff has my interest in seeing how other countries fare in making their own 2D or CGI works.

Internet Historian
Covered various incidents from Dashcon and Rainfurrest to the reception Fallout 76 gotten and No Man's Sky having its own redemption. For me, his crowning achievement was The Cost of Concordia. Literally kept my interest just seeing how a hugely expensive ship managed to go down iirc 33 lives thanks to it's captain and the crewmates he was with in dealing with piloting the ship and dealing with the damage.
