Where's Home? is part of a catchphrase spoken by a taxi driver in a viral Family Guy clip that is used as part of wholesome memes on TikTok. In mid-2023, the scene began to be used on TikTok with added background audio from the song "Home" by Bebe Rexha, Machine Gun Kelly and X Ambassadors to give it a more somber feeling.

Origin

A cutaway joke meant to poke fun at Fifty Shades of Grey, in the sixth episode of season 14 of Family Guy, Peter Griffin can be seen getting into a taxi cab and being asked where he's going. After responding that he is going home, he is met with the reply of where his home is, prompting an emotional introspection.

On September 14th, 2022, this clip was uploaded to YouTube by the channel StocK MeMe,^[1] where it gained over 7,000 views in two years (shown below).

Spread

In mid-2023, the clip would surface on TikTok as part of a viral trend involving the song "Home" released in 2017. On August 31st, 2023, TikToker mayadahhafez^[2] uploaded the clip as part of a CapCut Template in which after Peter is asked where is home, clips of Maya's wedding begin to show as the lyrics to the song are shown on screen, earning over 1 million likes in six months (shown below).

Shortly after its usage on TikTok, other creators started to use it in the opposite direction, as a somber reminder of good times they had in the past. This is seen in the September 5th, 2023, TikTok uploaded by TikToker mukhametali_7182^[3] in which, after the original clip is shown, an image of a darkened soccer field is seen with Ali standing on the pitch looking down and sad about no longer being able to play, earning over 110,000 likes in six months (shown below).
