About
Treatler or Treatlerite is a slang term that combines the words "treat" and "Hitler." The word was popularized on Twitter / X in late 2024, often used to admonish people who are over-reliant on services like Doordash, Uber Eats and Instacart. The term originated from X user @posting_forever and their followers and was originally used to criticize liberals unable to concede that their luxurious lifestyles often come at the cost of less prosperous people or nations. Such discussions later came to revolve around the pricing of food-delivery services, with (often disabled) people bemoaning the rising costs of home-delivery takeout food and another group criticizing them for treating a luxury service like a fundamental right. The Adolf "Treatler" discourse subsequently continued into early 2025.
Origin
Precursor
Discourse about Americans feeling entitled to services like Doordash, Uber Eats and Instacart, among other food-delivery apps, was a dominant theme on some parts of Twitter / X in 2024, giving rise to memes like Private Taxi For My Burrito.
Several threads about disabled people discussing their reliance on services like Doordash, Uber Eats and Instacart also made the rounds in 2024, as seen in a thread posted by X[1] user @JeremiahDJohns on March 21st, 2024, gathering over 19,000 likes in nine months.

Treatler
One of the earliest uses of the term "Treatler" can be traced back to June 2024 when X[2] user @posting_forever quoted @bengrossbg and called him a "treat boy," with his follower, X[3] user @NukeJokes, subsequently coining the term "treatler" in a June 25th, 2024, post.
X[4] user @posting_forever then used the term "Treatlerite" in a July 25th, 2024, post that read, "lmfao this dumb treatlerite whiner is talking about protesting Bibi. what a fucking freak!"
Spread
Discussions about "Treatlers" and "Treatlerites" continued to gain traction into December 2024, as seen in the responses to a now-deleted December 2nd, 2024, tweet by X[5] user @carbdiem in which they write, "Idc if this makes me a Karen, if your UberEats profile picture shows that you're a woman and my delivery person shows up and they're a cis man then I will report every time and so should you!!!"
The Twitter / X user received some criticism for her post, as seen in a post by @zukosmadre,[6] with many people disagreeing with the idea of reporting poor-earning food delivery gig workers. However, X[7] user @ppldisappear's December 3rd, 2024, quote tweet about "expecting a polish blonde lady to be delivering your food to your house only for a MAN to turn up to your address" garnered criticism as well, as seen in a post[8] by X user @TrannyFagDyke who called them a "treatlerite," gathering over 8,000 likes in a month.
On December 6th, 2024, X[11] user @YourSilvrFriend posted a meme edit of Adolf Hitler wearing childlike accessories, gathering over 2,000 likes in a month. On December 30th, X[12] user @punishedgothgf posted a Hitler Particles / We Agree edit featuring a fatter "Adolf Treatler."
On December 29th, 2024, X[9] user @zachoeo quoted a post about a person being angry about their male Instacart shopper not identifying the ice cream they wanted to buy, gathering over 17,000 likes on a post that read, "The term 'treatlerite' needs adding to the dictionary ASAP."
On January 5th, 2025, X[10] user @dennismhogan posted about the term "Treatlerite," calling it "one of the more useful recent internet coinages."
