About
Totius or Young Totius is a character featured in a series of AI generated dark fantasy choose-your-own-adventure style TikTok slideshows by @oblivion_fantasy described as a loyal and eager to learn warrior who cannot speak. The character was first shared by the TikToker in mid-October 2023 in a video asking viewers which partner they'd pick to travel to a hidden castle with. He became notably popular, inspiring the TikToker to include Totius in future videos and inspiring other TikTokers to make memes and videos about him.
Origin
On October 16th, 2023, TikToker[1] @oblivion_fantasy posted a slideshow video asking viewers to pick from a selection of 11 potential traveling partners to journey to a hidden castle with, each slide showing a different AI-generated dark fantasy character along with one pro and con, garnering over 1.1 million views in a week. The fourth potential partner is Totius, depicted as a knight with the pro "will never leave your side" and the con "can't speak" (shown below, center). Totius was a notably popular pick, with several of the top comments claiming they would pick him (shown below, right).
On October 18th, the TikToker[2] posted another video in their series of dark fantasy choose-your-own-adventure slideshows, this time asking, "You've set off towards this creepy castle! Which follower will you bring?" The third potential partner is young Totius, a child version of Totius with the pro "eager to learn" and the same con as before, "can't speak" (shown below, left). The video gained over 1.3 million views in six days. Again, Totius was one of the most picked options by commenters (shown below, right).

On October 19th, 2023, TIkToker[3] @sammitdammy posted a video reacting to the "young Totius" video, calling the inclusion of young Totius "weird," garnering over 400,000 views in four days (shown below, left). In a later video posted to TikTok,[4] she elaborates, explaining that it's weird because Totius looks like her son who also doesn't speak (shown below, right).

On October 22nd, TikToker[5] @omnip0tent posted a video showing himself waiting at a bar, captioned, "waiting at the tavern for Totius to come through," garnering over 76,400 views in a day (shown below). X[6][7] users also began referencing Totius and "Totius TikTok" that week.
