Season 2 History

Week One

Days One to Three

Fishtank season 2 premiered on Monday December 18th, 2023 at 2:00 PM est. Some viewers had troubles viewing the feeds after it launched due to heavy traffic.

That day, X[7] user @luna__mae began a thread compiling moments from the first day. Shinji was the first to arrive at the house, followed by Trisha. The two made their introductions and Trisha went to explore the house (shown below). The rest of the fish gradually made their ways into the house throughout the day, with the final fish, Brian, arriving around 1:20am on day two.

On day two the first challenge was issued by Sam Hyde, playing the character of Jebediah Goldstriker. The challenge, much like the first challenge in season one, had players count piles of rice to separate the Basmati from the white rice (shown below).[8]

That day, it was also discovered that the contestant Shinji had previously been a male prostitute and featured in adult videos online.[9] Goldstriker had one-on-one interviews with the contestants that day and told them that one fish is an "infiltrator," tasking them with figuring out who it is. Some believed the infiltrator was Jimmy, but Jet Neptune told them it was not.

Later that day, the fish took part in karate training and sparring. A contest was held where the fish each told a life story and viewers voted on a winner, with Shinji being awarded the win and getting $1,000. At around 1:00 AM on December 20th, the fish were all told that their beds would have to be moved to the kitchen, where they'd have to sleep for the night.
