About
Jessica Nigri is a celebrity cosplayer and promotional model known for her appearances at conventions like Comic-Con and DragonCon.
History
At the San Diego Comic-Con in 2009, Nigri cosplayed as the Pokemon Pikachu (shown below). According to an interview with Cosplay in America,[4] Nigri saw photos of herself from the convention posted online, which peaked her interest in cosplay.
On March 6th, 2010, Nigri uploaded her first video to YouTube in which she holds a magnifying glass over her mouth while making loud noises (shown below).
In 2012, Nigri won IGN's "Search for Juliet" competition cosplaying the character Juliet Starling from the video game Lollipop Chainsaw (shown below).
In 2013, Nigri continued to make public appearances at conventions and conferences as the official cosplay model for a number of video game characters, including Connor Kenway (Assassin's Creed III), Vivienne Squall (KILLER IS DEAD), the female version of Captain Edward Kenway (Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag) and Miss Monday (Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z). Outside of the cosplaying and convention circles, Nigri has also worked with Rooster Teeth Productions as the voice actor behind Cinder Fall in RWBY and Pink Private in Red vs. Blue.
2012 PAX East Controversy
When Nigri appeared at the 2012 Penny Arcade Expo, she was asked to change for wearing a costume that was too revealing. After changing into another Juliet Starling costume that was also deemed too revealing, she was asked to leave the convention.
Online Presence
Jessica Nigri commands a large following in the social media. On February 26th, 2010, Nigri created a Facebook[3] page, gaining upwards of 2.5 million likes in the first five years. In January 2011, Nigro launched the @OJessicaNigri Twitter[2] feed, gathering over 322,000 followers over the next four years. As of August 2014, Nigri's official YouTube channel has 366,000 subscribers and her Instagram[1] feed has over 550,000 followers.
Fandom
In August 2009, the JessicaNigri.com[12] fansite was launched, featuring a blog, forum and photo gallery. On April 7th, 2012, Redditor Caboose119z submitted a photo of himself performing a "hover hand" pose with Nigri to the /r/gaming[10] subreddit, where it gained more than 1,500 votes (90% upvoted) prior to being archived.
On April 20th, the /r/jessicanigri[5] subreddit was created for photographs featuring the cosplay model. On Tumblr, several fan blogs have been created, including Fuck Yeah Jessica Nigri,[6] Nigri Nation[7] and Its Nigri.[8] As of August 2014, there are over 1,490 submissions under the keyword "nigri" on DeviantArt.[9]
Personal Life
Nigri was born on August 5th, 1989 in Reno, Nevada. Nigri was formerly engaged to PayPal employee Vann Childs and was rumored to have dated the co-founder of Cherry Sauce Clothing Jason Soprovich.[11]

Nigri has cosplayed several notable fictional characters from comic books, video games, television shows and films, including Supergirl, Doctor Who, Charizard from Pokemon, Rikku from Final Fantasy X, Mad Moxxi from Borderlands and Edward from Assassin's Creed: Black Flag (shown below, clockwise).
