Oh God, Biden Just Confused X and Y! is a phrasal template that was popularized on Twitter / X in mid-July 2024 after a press conference held by President Joe Biden in which he called Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy "President Vladimir Putin" and called Kamala Harris "Vice President Trump." The snowclone jokes and memes about Biden confusing similarly named products or media came amid calls for him to drop out of the 2024 election.

On July 11th, 2024, President Joe Biden appeared at two different press conferences during the NATO summit, each of which saw him stumble over his words, confusing Zelenskyy and Putin and misnaming Kamala Harris Vice President Trump (clip shown below).

As discourse swirled online about the error-filled performance, Twitter users began to joke about the errors by jesting that Biden made more common errors. That day, Twitter user @paynushurts^[1] tweeted, "Nahhh Joe Biden just called the teacher mom," gaining over 2,900 retweets and 46,000 likes in one day (shown below).

Over the course of the evening and into the following day, numerous Twitter users made similar jokes about President Biden making common errors. For example, later on July 11th, 2024, Twitter user @realradec^[2] posted, "JUST IN: Biden reportedly confused THE OUTER WORLDS for THE OUTER WILDS ‼️😳," gaining over 2,200 retweets and 27,000 likes in one day (shown below, left).

Early the next morning, Twitter user @Nicolewboyce^[3] posted the joke using the similar romantic comedies Friends with Benefits and No Strings Attached, gaining over 1,600 retweets and 35,000 likes in less than a day (shown below, right).
