"Mexican" Nick Fuentes Body Cam Footage refers to a viral video of leaked police body cam footage showing right-wing political commentator Nick Fuentes saying, "I'm Mexican," to deny that he's a white supremacist. The recording was taken after Fuentes pepper-sprayed someone who came to his Illinois home when he was doxxed in November 2024. Fuentes faced a misdemeanor battery charge for the incident. The body cam footage went viral on Twitter / X and Reddit in mid-December 2024. It inspired numerous memes and viral posts, many of which made fun of Fuentes for saying he's Mexican.
Origin
On December 18th, 2024, YouTuber[1] The CrimePiece uploaded body cam footage of right-wing political commentator Nick Fuentes on the day he pepper-sprayed a woman who showed up at his house after he was doxxed in November for tweeting, "Your Body, My Choice." At one moment, the police officer asks Fuentes if he's a white supremacist to which he replies, "I'm Mexican." In a day, the video received over 19,000 views (shown below).
Spread
After its YouTube upload, X users reposted it to the platform as it began to spread. For instance, on December 18th, 2024, X[2] user @ApostateProphet shared the clip of Fuentes saying, "I'm Mexican," gaining over 248,100 views and 2,800 likes in a day (shown below).

Memes concerning the video started to spread at the same time. For instance, on December 18th, X[3] user @JadenPMcNeil tweeted a screencap of Fuentes in the video, captioned, "'I'm not White, I'm Mexican.' We know," gaining over 8,900 likes in a day (shown below).
Also on December 18th, 2024, X[4] user @TheMagaHulk tweeted the clip with captions, calling Fuentes a "Burrito Supremacist," in the caption. The tweet received over 4,000 likes in a day (shown below).

The video was also shared on Reddit, evident in a post shared to the subreddit /r/worldnewsvideo by Redditor[5] CantStopPoppin on December 18th, which received over 800 upvotes in a day.
Also on December 18th, 2024, Redditor[6] Anywhere_Last shared a meme to the /r/Destiny subreddit, captioned, "Nick when a reporter asks him if he's a white supremacist," receiving over 470 upvotes in a day (shown below).
