James Bond Gun Barrel Parodies refers to parodies of the opening sequence featured in films in the James Bond franchise which feature Bond seen through the barrel of a gun just before he kills the person holding the gun offscreen, causing a red wash of blood to sweep the screen. Many films have parodied this scene by inserting other characters into the gun barrel perspective, online people have photoshopped or video edited the original scene, or even re-created the sequence in CGI animation.
Origin
The original sequence first appeared in the film Dr. No,[1] the original James Bond movie, which was first released on May 8th, 1963.
One of the earliest parodies on film was featured in the opening sequences of a Monty Python sketch which aired in 1972.
One of the earliest parodies created online, a video titled "James Bond spoof funny Gunbarrel scene" was uploaded by YouTube user Our Movies[2] on January 25th, 2007. The video features an actor reenacting the scene, but instead of shooting the assailant getting shot himself. As of September 2014, the video has gained over 110,000 views.

On December 10th, 2008, YouTuber CosmosDarwin[5] uploaded a video titled "007 Gun Barrel Sequence Parody" which featured an actor shot through the barrel of the gun, who then started to dance while the song "Low" plays in the background. As of September 2014, the video has gained over 51,000 views.
On August 19th, 2011, YouTuber THEjimboTV[6] uploaded a video titled "Lego James Bond Gun Barrel Sequence." As of September 2014, the video has gained over 13,000 views.
On November 24th, 2012, YouTuber Matthias[4] uploaded a parody video titled "PSY – GANGNAM STYLE (강남스타일) – PARODY – James Bond Style" which parodied the scene and the popular song Gangnam Style. As of September 2014, the video has gained over 790,000 views.
