The Inside Out Emotions Graph Trend or Graph My Emotions Trend is a TikTok trend and exploitable meme format in which participants fill in a bar graph consisting of all the emotions from the Inside Out films to outline another person's emotions, often a partner or friend. The trend was popularized in late June 2024 following the release of Inside Out 2.

Origin

On June 21st, 2024, TikToker^[1] @rgardner3 posted a video in which she sends her boyfriend a blank bar graph consisting of all the emotions from Inside Out 2 at the bottom and asks him to fill out the chart to represent which emotions she feels the most often, garnering over 500,000 views in four days (shown below). This is the earliest known example of the trend. Later that day she posted a blank template for the trend to TikTok,^[2] garnering over 600,000 views in the same span of time.

Spread

The trend became increasingly popularized over the following days, with some users elaborately decorating the graphs and others sharing the reactions to them by those who the graphs were made to represent.

For example, on June 23rd, 2024, TikToker^[3] @knnvtrz posted a video doing the trend that gained over 1.2 million views in two days (shown below, left). On the same day, TikToker^[4] @aumi_x posted a video doing the trend, garnering over 300,000 views in two days (shown below, right).

On June 24th, TikToker^[5] @smollbeanie posted a video following the trend, garnering over 181,000 views in a day (shown below).
