I'm out! 1.3 Seconds, also known as Daymond John's "I'm Out, refers to a YouTube thumbnail turned reaction image showing Shark Tank businessman Daymond John giving one the fastest "I'm out" on the show, which is a catchphrase used by the investors to pull out of a negotiation. The thumbnail's original video was posted by the YouTube page The Filmy in October 2021, titled, "FASTEST “I’M OUT” Pitches On Shark Tank." The thumbnail became a reaction image and exploitable on Twitter / X and elsewhere in 2024, often used in quote tweets.
Origin
On October 5th, 2021, the YouTube[1] page The Filmy posted a video called "FASTEST “I’M OUT” Pitches On Shark Tank" in which the thumbnail uses a screenshot of businessman Daymond John and the text "I'm out! 1.3 Seconds." Over three years, the video received roughly 8,000 views and 61 likes (shown below).
Spread
The "I'm out! 1.3 Seconds" thumbnail started to be used as a reaction image on Reddit in early 2024, with the earliest known post shared by Redditor u/Rhw_07[2] on February 22nd, 2024. In the post, the user posted Daymond John's "I'm Out* paired with a caption about their displeasure with a racing track in the Forza game. The post (seen below) amassed over 416 upvotes and 73 comments in 10 months.
On November 25th, 2024, X[3] user @layynoon used the I'm out thumbnail to reply to their previous tweet about playing League of Legends, which garnered over 381,000 likes and 25,000 reposts in a week.
