About
I Feel So Sigma is a brainrot exploitable meme format in which various characters are captioned with the phrase "I feel so sigma!" via a speech bubble, which is an ironic reference to the slang term sigma male. Spawned by a fan-made comic about the band Tally Hall posted on TikTok in September 2023, the meme format saw further spread to X / Twitter, Reddit, Instagram and other sites in 2024.
Origin
In the first half of September 2023, TikTok and Tumblr user @alexluvsskittlez posted a three-panel comic in which Tally Hall band member Ross Federman drinks a "brainrot" potion despite his bandmate's vehement protests. In the last panel, a plushie Ross Federman, having drunk the potion, says, "I feel so sigma!" (shown below).
The original upload of the comic on TikTok has since been made private. On October 24th, 2024, alexluvskittlez reposted the comic on Tumblr[1] along with the backstory of the meme.
In the following days, an unidentified user used the last panel of the comic to create versions of the meme featuring other Tally Hall band members, with other users joining in on the trend and making versions with various characters.
On September 14th, 2023, @alexluvsskittlez posted a humorous fancam based on the Ross Federman panel, pairing it with a brainrot recording of a person saying, "I feel so sigma." The upload received over 82,000 views and 5,600 likes on TikTok[2] in two years (shown below).

Spread
The format saw an initial spread on TikTok in the second half of September 2024 as users posted more slideshows based on the format, often reusing the audio.
For example, on September 27th, 2024, TikTok[3] user @danauxu posted a slideshow of versions of the meme featuring Lego Batman characters (one image shown below). The post received over 8,400 likes in two years.
In 2024, the meme format also achieved popularity on Tumblr, X and other sites. For example, on August 20th, 2024, X[4] user @SigmaGohan posted a Dragon Ball version of the meme that gained over 460 reposts and 6,300 likes in five months (shown below).
While the catchphrase has primarily been used as a part of the exploitable image, it has also been used as a caption for GIF captions and in other ways.
