Origin

The name Glup Shitto was originally invented by Tumblr user gomjabbar on September 3rd, 2020 (shown below).^[1] The post gained over 33,000 notes.

The name grew popular among Star Wars fans on Tumblr amidst the airing of the second season of the series The Mandalorian which saw the return of several characters previously exclusive to the extended universe (notably comprising of Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars: Rebels). Others joked that Glup Shitto was the canonical name of Baby Yoda (examples shown below).
