Overview
The Chris-Chan Child Rumor refers to Lolcow Christine Weston Chandler, also known as Chris-Chan, claiming that she was going to have a kid during a November 2024 livestream. Viewers speculated that her Finnish girlfriend Flutter was pregnant. This implied that Chris-Chan was having a baby with Flutter who would be born in 2025. The clip went viral on Twitter / X and Kiwi Farms, among other sites and social media platforms, inspiring viral reactions and memes about the possibility.
Background
On November 24th, 2024, Chris-Chan was streaming a Sonic X Shadow Generations speedrun on YouTube.[1] An 18-second clip of the stream was uploaded by a viewer in which Chris-Chan said that she wanted to keep people "in the dark … and wait until after the child is born" (shown below).
On November 24th, Kiwi Farms[2] user Zeus Blue Thunder shared the clip to a forum about Chris-Chan's girlfriend Flutter. The user wrote, "I have no idea where this question even came from or what Chris is talking about, but… Chris expects a child this summer" (shown below).
On November 24th, 2024, X[3] user @KiwiFarmsDotNet tweeted the clip and linked to the Kiwi Farms[3] thread, receiving over 3.4 million views and 7,100 likes in a day (shown below).

Later on November 24th, X[5] user @ShitpostRock tweeted a God, Please Norway meme from the perspective of Chris-Chan's baby, gaining over 18,000 likes in a day (shown below).
Reactions spread on other social media sites like TikTok as well. For instance, on November 24th, 2024, TikToker[6] @sammysawshank posted a video about finding out about Chris-Chan's girlfriend followed by the idea that she's also pregnant. The video gained roughly 76,900 plays and 8,800 likes in a day (shown below).
