Druski's Hands Up refers to an exploitable image of American comedian Druski raising his hands. The image comes from a 2021 video posted on X and was later turned into a reaction image, used mostly in humorous or sarcastic posts in which the person is trying to be honest about a delicate subject.
Origin
On January, 13th, 2023, American comedian @Druski uploaded a video on Twitter[1] in which his friend is looking at some toiletry items on the table. In one moment, the friend notices a shank knife and Druski explains "You can never be too careful" as to why he has that item there, rasing his hands. The video (shown below) amassed over 49,000 likes and 10,000 retweets in two years.

The earliest known usage of the still image of Druski with his hands up as a meme was posted on April 23rd, 2021, by X[2] user @IAMDJLIVE. The tweet (shown below) uses the comedian image as a reaction paired with the caption "Me when a customer asks 'Do you think I’m stupid?'", which amassed more than 13,000 likes and 4,100 retweets in two years.

Druski's still image became a popular reaction image on X and Instagram. For instance, on January 18th, 2022, X[3] user @Derron_McNelly used the comedian's "hands up" meme (shown below, left) paired with the caption "I personally feel like it should be Thursday already… just me tho," which received over 119,000 likes and 25,000 retweets in a year. On October 22nd, 2023, X[4] user @invis4yoo posted the still image paired with the ironic caption "If my friends want to drink who am I to say no," which garnered roughly 155 likes and 33 retweets in three months.
