Dave Blunts Falling From the Sky, also known as Dave Blunts Falling Out of the Sky, refers to a clip from rapper Dave Blunts' music video for his 2024 song "The Cup" (known for its lyrics, "I can't put down the cup") in which he's hurdling toward the ground, falling from a purple sky. The clip went viral on YouTube and Twitter / X in December 2024. Many made it a GIF which was used like an exploitable.
Origin
On December 2nd, 2024, Dave Blunts uploaded the music video for his song "The Cup" to YouTube,[1] gaining over 202,200 views in two days. At the song's 1:05-minute mark (shown below), Blunts raps, "And I love all my n----s, but I promise I'm not a f----- (ay)," after which a CGI render of him is seen falling out of the sky.

On December 2nd, 2024, X[2] user @Cordeeeeee tweeted the clip of Blunts falling from the sky, gaining over 25.2 million views and 87,000 likes in two days (shown below).

In the following days, multiple users quote tweeted @Cordeeeeee's post. For instance, on December 2nd, X[3] user @Hamburburrr quoted the post, writing, "Bro I watched this shit with no audio I almost started dying," receiving over 210,000 likes in two days (shown below).
On December 3rd, X[4] user @lumu_tweets quoted the video, writing, "This the type of shit you see on the break room TV in Smiling Friends," amassing over 124,000 likes in a day (shown below).
Later on December 3rd, 2024, X[5] user @PokieT_7 tweeted a video that added Dave Blunts Falling to a scene from the anime Jujutsu Kaisen, gaining over 1,500 likes in a day (shown below).

The original video was the music video for his song "JUGGERNAUT" which was posted to YouTube in 2021.
