Cybergoth Dance Remixes refers to a series of videos featuring a group of cybergoth teenagers dancing to industrial music, which replaces the background track with unfitting music.
Origin
On September 7th, 2011, YouTuber[1] gNarLu cEe uploaded footage of a group of young cybergoths dancing underneath an overpass titled "Cybergoth Dance Party" (shown below). Over the next five years, the video gained over 4.2 million views and 11,800 comments.
Spread
On September 9th, 2011, YouTuber griffin goodwin reuploaded the video with the song "Cuban Pete" from the 1994 comedy film The Mask playing in the background (shown below). On September 14th, 2012, Reddit bodmon submitted the video to /r/cringe.[3]
On June 19th, 2014, Viner babyd0ll uploaded a clip from the video with the 1996 hip hop song "Scarred" by Luke playing in the background. On June 24th, Viner Brisk God uploaded the same clip with the 1979 soft rock song "Escape (The Piña Colada Song)" playing in the background. The video has since been removed.
On July 7th, UpRoxx[4] published an article about the remixes titled "'Goths Dance to Anything' is The Best Thing Happening On Vine Right Now." On September 3rd, YouTuber Idk Dontcare posted a clip of the dancers edited with the Mexican dance song "El Sonidito" by Hechizeros Band (shown below).
On June 18th, 2015, YouTuber[2] Nolan Arriaga posted a Bill Nye the Science Guy remix of the video (shown below).
On December 6th, 2022, TikTok user @madcow posted a video in which it the location of the original dance was shown from Google Earth. The video was recorded in Düsseldorf, Germany. The street is named Kaiser-Wilhelm-Ring, 40545 in proximity of Oberkasseler Brücke (Bridge). The video went viral, garnering over 6,600,000 views and 1,400,000 likes in 1 month (shown, below).[5]

Alternate Angle Footage of the Cybergoth Dance Party
On March 14th, 2011, YouTuber[6] CybertreffenNRW posted a video seemingly showing extra footage taken right before the original video of the Cybergoth Dance Party starts. The video gathered over 45,000 views in 13 years.
The video was reposted to /r/DeepIntoYouTube[7] by /u/Yeleywillonedaywin on December 12th, 2022, gathering over 3,000 upvotes in a year. On November 4th, X[8] user @chiweethedog reposted the video, gathering over 60,000 likes on a post captioned, "Alternative angle of the famous "Cybergoth Dance Party" video, showing more cybergoth dance moves to Early Hardstyle, ending where the famous one begins."
