About
Chris-Chan Prison Escape or Chris-Chan Escaping is a meme that started with unconfirmed reports of Chris-Chan escaping from either the courthouse or prison right before their trial was set to begin in late August 2022. Though it is widely believed to be fake reports or a hoax, many online engaged in discussions or made memes about Chris-Chan as though they were able to actually accomplish such a feat to escape custody and what they are doing after the fact.
Origin
It is speculated that August 24th, 2022, was meant to be the trial date for Chris-Chan as the start of the end of the "Mother Incest Allegations Saga," which many followers of the lolcow are calling "The Final Saga." A 4chan thread posted on August 24th claims that on Twitter the news of Chris-Chan escaping the courtroom via a bathroom window made Chris-Chan start to trend elsewhere online, such as Twitter. This post was later edited to include an escape siren sound and uploaded to Twitter by the account @Goldy68062250[1] on August 28th, receiving roughly 125 likes in less than 24 hours (shown below).

Spread
Despite the 4chan post about "Chris-Chan" supposedly breaking out of custody, there were no tweets on August 24th, 2022, that talked about Chris-Chan escaping prison, and searching through Twitter only revealed one post that was made after the initial 4chan thread by the Twitter account @Murphtrouble[2] bemoaning the fact that Kiwi Farms was down at the time when the rumor started to fly (shown below).
However, on August 28th, 2022, various Twitter accounts caught wind of the rumor through the 4chan thread being shared around, causing a wider eruption of memes as people posted their own takes on if and how Chris-Chan could have escaped from prison.
Amid the viral discussions, there were also references to Flash actor Ezra Miller made, with jokes about how there would be two high-profile "villain characters" on the run at the same time. This can be seen in a tweet by Twitter @Rodri7567[3] on August 28th, 2022, showing a scene from Back In The Barnyard in which the cows are trying to escape a house through a window that received over 110 likes in less than 24 hours (shown below).
