(I though of putting this topic to Video Games, but since this kind of thing has been argued for years in a heated debate, I think this probably fits best.)
So, many people are arguing in video games on which style is better. What are your stance on the Competitive vs Causal Conflict.Forums / Discussion / Serious Debate

The question of which style of games is better is an absolutely ridiculous question to ask in my opinion. The only thing it comes down to is which style you prefer, and asking which is superior would be like asking "which is better; RPGs or racing games?". It's a pointless question to ask because it's all a matter of opinion.
It comes down to the game as well. I prefer casual CoD where I can rek everyone, but when it comes to CS, competitive is the only way to go. That said, I really don't play many games that differentiate the two.
I prefer being a casual guy myself. When you come down to it, competitive things like PvP, for me at least, has far too many strategies, guides, builds, etc for me to get into. With casual, however, you can just go with the flow and deck your character out with whatever it is that you deck him/her out with.
Depends on the genre and what people are into. It's subjective and depends on the gamer's own tastes. Personally been leaning more towards casual since most competitive games always have odds stacked against my skill level. And I've mostly been turned off by interactions with the more toxic side of communities of said games. Also shit internet connections.

The only multiplayer games I really play are Star Trek Online, TF2, and CS: GO. I'm somewhere in the middle there. Single player on the other hand, having beaten dark souls speaks for itself.
