has trolling been co-opted by cyberbullies?

i always separated trolling and cyber bullying. I always see trolling as messing with someone online without going too far (like darude sandstorm, rickrolling, telling someone they're wrong about their opinion in a light hearted matter, etc) while cyber bullying is when you just outright want to hurt them, or you take your trolling too far. (the Jessy Slaughter case comes to mind)

I've always considered trolling to be like what Samekichi said (e.g.: intentionally angering someone to stir shit up). I don't consider "cyber" bullying to be something deserving of its own label. It's the same bullying that has always existed, just taking advantage of these new communication mediums. Hurtful words are typed rather than spoken or written.

I think trolling can become cyber-bulling if the intentions are there.
If I troll someone I typically do it once or twice for a laugh then leave or stop.
However Cyber-bulling typically lasts much longer, and is specifically directed at the person.
