So 10 years ago today I was looking for pics of Chubby Bubbles Girl and found Know Your Meme and created an account. Back then most memes got their start on 4chan and trickled their way down past the anus to land here at Know Your Meme. What I had found interesting at that time was that Know Your Meme was recording, documenting and researching memes at a time when there was no other site doing it. I knew there were (and still is) many memes that were lost because nobody bothered to a) keep them alive and b) never bothered to document them. It has been interesting (to say the least) how memes have evolved into a corporate and political tool. Great were the days of OP and his homo erotic adventures on message boards all over the interwebs bringing lulz to the masses. This was a busy and interactive forum at that time.
I miss the days when all toasters toast toast and everyone was gay for Bridget so lets post some old memes in remembrance of a simpler time.
