Let’s say that in the future. We just get a deluxe port of Smash Ultimate on a successor to the Switch that adds 40 new characters and a few new stages. Sakurai decides to troll the people requesting Goku by having 10 non-video game characters in the game while the other 10 are DLC in the fighters Pass for this port, but most of these non-video game characters except for two are not heavily requested.

He’ll end up putting in tracks from the Pac-Man World, Donkey Kong Country, Wario Land, Mario Kart Arcade, and modern Kirby games which also play in the stages from their series.

So yeah, Sakurai has chosen a bunch of characters but Goku and he’s trolling us.

What kind of interactions between the characters in fan-art and animations could creators like TerminalMontage, Kira-vera, Archdan, ayyk92, Wooden Plank Studios, etc. come up with?
What kind of Spirit Battles would they have with them?
What music should they bring?
What would be the in-universe reaction of these characters and their other friends and foes if they were to receive an invitation to an inter-dimensional fighting tournament and when interacting with the friends and foes of the other fighters?
How would the new assists and their friends and foes react to the assist being invited only to find out they were given a support role?
How would the Internet react to Sakurai trolling the people requesting Goku?
Also if Sakurai didn’t choose Byleth, who would’ve been more controversial?
