Michael Myers confused the fuck out of me as a kid. I knew about Mike Myers – the voice of Shrek and actor of Austin Powers – and Michael Myers (the character from the Halloween franchise). I always associated both of them together and thought Mike Myers was the actor playing the killer (since Mike is the abbreviation of Michael). I didn't realise Michael Myers was the name of the CHARACTER and not the actor. It for the longest time gave me chills watching Shrek thinking he was also the same voice of a serial killer.
