I quit this site two years ago and I've gone off and on for months at a time, as one does. everytime I come back there's a new political meme on the headline and the site runs slower and slower. And there's more and more leftwing leaning parasites who expect me to listen to their drivel. This site is dying and I know how to dave it. For the answer you'll have to gibs me $4.53 and the head of a lion.

Nostalgia. Though I end up lurking for less than 5 minutes. Don't know why. The forums are truly glacial, and every other part of the website is a worse version of other sites.

TBH, I come here when I'm in a bad mood because a great majority of the people I see here are pretty chill, and laughing at silly pics (and enjoying the lewd pics) helps me collect myself if I'm pissed, annoyed or something.

I'm woefully addicted to this site, been so for several years now. Also, like others have posted, people here are generally more chill and less assblasted than on other memesites. I have a deep appreciation for that. Thirdly, this is the only source besides YouTube of 🆘. These things keep me coming, and they also keep me returning here.
