Because some fandoms seemed to be full of cringe lately (especialy concerning the TPP)
Do you think the internet is better off without the concept of fandom?

I think "Subculture" would be a more fitting term here.

It'd be a more boring place if that's what you mean.
Of course TPP is a fandom. I wouldn't exactly say it's cringey though.
Wait are you talking MGSV: The Phantom Pain or Twitch Plays Pokemon?
Fandom is the glue that holds us together.
If there weren't fandoms, the 1000000 GET wouldn't have been a shitty FNAF pic
I rest my case.
The internet allows the socially awkward outcasts to band together and find a place of belonging. There's really no way subcultures or fandoms can cease to exist.
However, I wouldn't mind them stopping just so I don't have to witness their inane dribbling over trivial thoughts and unneeded crusading.
So, yes. Maybe not a better place for them, but definitely a better place for everyone else.

Fandoms were a mistake. They're nothing but trash.
Yes. Only the ones I don't like.

So…everything but Marvel?
