Back in the 80's music was amazing, but now it's shit. Like why? I was born in the wrong generation. The music of today sucks. I hate it. Like fuck Beyonce, fuck Rihanna, fuck Kanye West, fuck Lil Wayne. I want back the honest musicians of Milli Vanili, not fucking Lorde. Why is it that music nowadays focuses on the visual side and music videos not the music like Glam Metal bands did. Seriously I was born in the wrong generation, the music of today sucks. Like back in the day rock music used to be good before grunge ruined it with all the fancy visuals and make up. Seriously fuck that music. The 80's were the best time for music. Fuck today's music. Fuck the 90's for ruining music. RIP quality music, died in the 80's.

You know what? I was born in the wrong generation. I deserve to be in a time greater than today like the pre-Islamic times of Arabia because it is incredibly fun to invade nearby villages. I would be the next Sargon of Akkad. They did all sorts of stuff like enslavement, rape, killing and highway robberies.

i miss le past so much, where music had le meaning and everyone was classy le gentlesirs with m’ladies (who had no rights like it should be xdxd) all le great musicians were there, like pink floyd, freddy mercury, the beatles, kiss, the list goes on..
i feel bad for me and this generation, we will never experience all the good things of le past like playing outside, eat pizzas, shitt ass slow internet, really bad education, more hate crimes and a constant looming thread over a le nuclear war where nobody could survive.
all good music died in 1999 when all good musicians where executed by le swag rappers and le gay pop singers, now all we got is lel (gay)ne, (gay)ne west, (gay)stin (gay)ber, and 50 bucks (lol im so le clever xdxd), except for eminem and mack[le]more, they are good cause they are white talk about real life things, (im no racist, i have black friends, but it would be better if we lived in le 60’s cause they had no rights AMIRITE? again im not racist)

The fact that so many books still name the Beatles as “the greatest or most significant or most influential” rock band ever only tells you how far rock music still is from becoming a serious art. Jazz critics have long recognized that the greatest jazz musicians of all times are Duke Ellington and John Coltrane, who were not the most famous or richest or best sellers of their times, let alone of all times. Classical critics rank the highly controversial Beethoven over classical musicians who were highly popular in courts around Europe. Rock critics are still blinded by commercial success. The Beatles sold more than anyone else (not true, by the way), therefore they must have been the greatest. Jazz critics grow up listening to a lot of jazz music of the past, classical critics grow up listening to a lot of classical music of the past. Rock critics are often totally ignorant of the rock music of the past, they barely know the best sellers. No wonder they will think that the Beatles did anything worthy of being saved.

Like fuck Chopin, fuck Liszt, fuck Schumann, fuck Paganini. I want back the honest musicians of Viennese quartets, not fucking new solo pianists. Why is it that music nowadays focuses on the chromaticism and virtuosity not form like Classicists did. Seriously I was born in the wrong generation, the music of today sucks. Like back in the day Classical music used to be good before Beethoven ruined it with all the fancy scales and cadenzas. Seriously fuck that music. The 1780’s were the best time for music. Fuck today’s music. Fuck the 1820’s for ruining music. RIP quality music, died in the 1820’s.

Honestly, I'm not sure music today is necessarily any better or worse than it has been in the past.
Consider this: more music is being prodced yearly today than in the past. Sturgeon's Law dictates that 90% of everything is crud. This means there is more cruddy music produced yearly, which is more noticeable. Sure, there's also more non-cruddy music as well, but that's what we want, so it's less noticeable (like it's easier to remember all the times gou tripped today than the number of times you could have tripped today, but didn't, which is murphy's law). Thus, because it's easier to notice the giant trash heap that grows each year than the more modest sized heap of non-trash that doubles in the same amount of time, it feels like the trash heap grows faster, and it does, in an absolute sense, but not in a relative sense, which is what matters here.
Long story short, bad music has always existed. But since there is more music now than before, it's harder to ignore.

Was going to post reply criticising your hatred of Lorde and Kanye west but then saw Milli Vanili best most honest artist of all time not like all this dishonest indie music today.
