As someone who is a scientist who studies Geese, I am telling you, specifically, in science, no one thinks geese quack. If you want to be "specific" like you said, then you shouldn't either. They dont make the same noise as ducks.

If you're saying "waterfowl" you're referring to the taxonomic grouping of Anseriformes, which includes things from Ducks to Swans to Geese.
