In my recent activity on Riff-Raff I have noted that several of the posters here are taken extreme care to make certain we shame specifically the female members of our site. Public harassment or slut shaming, our shameful acts know no limits. This is why we need feminism.
I do not give a damn if every single person on KYM likes these threads and upvotes the living shit out of them. Under no circumstances, is it ever, okay to make these. I don’t know why the community is thinking "Well girls have cooties, so let's make a whole thread slut shaming them" It is a form of harassment and should not be allowed.
Slut shaming is a shameful act that should not exist and I am appalled the KYM community would stoop to this level.
Any male mod with the right powers should know it's best to remove these threads shaming our site's females. (But not the ones shaming the male users, they deserve to be publicly shamed for their genitals and sexist behavior.)
It's not just important, but it's essential, for marginalized groups to have safe spaces on the forum to engage with people who understand what they go through, such as Nice Guys™ like myself. Unfortunately these spaces are rare places in the world not controlled by individuals who have power, who have privilege: The mods.
These spaces, which are forums where minority groups are protected from mainstream stereotypes and marginalization, are crucial to resistance of oppression and we, as a forum and as a website, need to respect them.
You should all be absolutely ashamed of yourselves for this behaviour but I do not care what your opinions towards males are. There’s something else going on here. The way this forum relentlessly harasses women who just happen to deserve a Nice Guy™ is unacceptable. These women don't deserve assholes.
