Lets make american shaming a thing

think about it, americans are literally trying to be the biggest hipsters and contrarians of the world.

why would anyone else think "feet"" is a legitimate way of measuring something except for america? its almost an insult to all normal people on the world, and should be taken as such.

americans should be booed, mocked and just all around humilliated in public on the streets for using fahrenheit instead of celcius like a bunch of autists

they should be denied medical service of all kind just because they refuse to use the more comprehensive "1.70" way of measuring yourself.

whos with me #Americanshaming.

Shit taste in measurements m9

i get this is the "lol random irony" board and all but you're trying WAY to hard, no one actually believes this.

How the fuck is Fahrenheit better than Celsius in any way whatsoever? And don't give me the bullshit "The increments are smaller so it's a more accurate scale" argument because your body can't tell the difference between 28C and 29C and more than it can tell the difference between 88F and 89F.

Why are we being elitist about temperature scales?

Because it's just as valid a topic to be elitist about as any other topic.

@Crimeariver
Celsius measures by water reaction
Fahrenheit measures by Human feeling

Last time I checked, we are humans, not puddles of water

You really want to serious debate in Riff-Raff bro? Come on! Let get this mistake on the way!

Fahrenheit measures by human feeling? What does that mean? It seems completely arbitrary to me.

A scale of 0-100 makes the most sense when both 0 degrees and 100 degrees are reachable temperatures, rather than the temperature scale going from -10 to 40

That awkward moment when Fahrenheit temperuatures have an approximate range of -40 to 130 when talking about the weather.

I never said this was all in the same place, I'm just saying that temperatures have been recorded in those ranges. The range of Fahrenheit for weather temperatures in no more valid than Celsius is.

Last time I checked, it human feeling varies person to person.

Yeah, but the range of 0-100 in Fahrenheit is conveniently set to what could roughly be considered the "common" temperatures for most places in the world.

Fahrenheit is based around the body whereas Celsius is based around water. Therefore Fahrenheit has more medical applications.

It's riff-raff bro, try not to take it so seriously.
