Furries make me uncomfortable

There's something about the idea of anthropomorphic animals that just fucking rustles my jimmies.
Now, this doesn't mean that I hate furries, I'm just terrified of them…

In all seriousness, I always get confused as to what people are referring too with claims like this. Just the really realistic human/animal hybrid art that people usually make and post on the internet, or anthropomorphic characters in their entirety? (ie. Bugs Bunny, Micky Mouse, etc)

As someone who loooooves costumes, I actually like the costumes a lot because there's a lot of artistry that goes into them but I can't stand how everyone makes all their costumes look the same. I mean you could do something cool but no everyone has to be a fucking neon wolf dong with big goofy creepy eyes.

I mean you do get cool shit like this:

or this

or this

And I can see why some people may still think that's creepy but damn, why do furries always have to be shitty sparkledog fucks who go and commission the same 2 artists or lookalike artists who have exactly the same fucking style. It's so lame and it's such an underwhelming way to explore such a unique medium.

The rest of the furry fandom is just… ugh. I hate dealing with them. They act like they're being oppressed like LGBT because they want to be animal fuckers or want to wear their shitty sparkledog costume in public and touch little boys or something creepy like that. And yes, before you go and say that, there are a lot of people who are furries who do this. I seriously had a furry say that I was oppressing him because I didn't support rape or incest, I'm dead fucking serious. The ones who aren't are usually not invested enough in the fandom to be that terrible.
