Until a religion provides evidence that its factual, why should anyone listen to it?

Alright, religious-fags. I have an opinion, a fedora and I am really euphoric. Now let me explain why you, people who blindly believe and follow a religion, are wrong.

Religions are nothing but fairy tails. You can't trust in stuff like Noah’s Ark because is not true…and because I said so. You can’t just believe half the stuff of a religion, and then say your are apart of that religion. Seriously, why should religious people not be made fun of for their ridiculous beliefs?

Prove me wrong. Oh, you can't. If you believe in a religion then your opinion means nothing to me, thus you can't prove me wrong. My logic is perfect and there is nothing wrong in it.

the worst atheists you can think of simply insult people for believing ridiculous things.
The worst Muslims you can think of are terrorists and murderers.

Oh, that reminds me- can someone fax me a list of all the Church of the Holy White Rabbit locations in the northwestern United States so I can find the closest one? Google is completely useless right now for some reason, and I don't want to miss service again this year.

Haha! Time for Quinque viae!

1. Some things are in motion.
2. A thing cannot, in the same respect and in the same way, move itself: it requires a mover.
3. An infinite regress of movers is impossible.
4. Therefore, there is an unmoved mover from whom all motion proceeds.
5. This mover, everyone calls God.

1. Some things are caused.
2. Everything that is caused is caused by something else.
3. An infinite regress of causation is impossible.
4. Therefore, there must be an uncaused cause of all that is caused.
5. This cause, everyone calls God.

1. Many things in the universe may either exist or not exist and are all finite. Such things are called contingent beings.
2. It is impossible for everything in the universe to be contingent, for then there would be a time when nothing existed, and so nothing would exist now, since there would be nothing to bring anything into existence, which is clearly false.
3. Therefore, there must be a necessary being whose existence is not contingent on any other being or beings.
4. We call this being God.

1. Varying perfections of varying degrees may be found throughout the universe.
2. These degrees assume the existence of an ultimate standard of perfection.
3. Therefore, perfection must have a pinnacle.
4. This pinnacle is what we call God.

1. All natural bodies in the world act towards ends.
2. These objects are in themselves unintelligent.
3. Acting towards an end is a characteristic of intelligence.
4. Therefore, there exists an intelligent being that guides all natural bodies towards their ends.
5. We call this being God.

Alright, weeaboos. I have an opinion, a dakimakura and I am really sugoi. Now let me explain why you, people who blindly watch and masturbate to anime, are bakas.

Anime is nothing but Chinese cartoons. You can’t trust in stuff like Pokemon because is not true…and because I said so. You can’t just masturbate to loli, and then say your are a glorious nipponese. Seriously, why should Korean people not be made fun of for their ridiculous addictions?

Prove me wrong. Oh, you can’t. If you watch hentai then your opinion means nothing to me, thus you can’t prove me wrong. My logic is perfect and there is nothing wrong in it.

It's a paraphrased quotation from Thomas Aquinas. Still, major respect to coolface for quoting one of the greatest theologians of the last millennium.

I'm not religious, but to add this on, even if religion does not offer a literal truth, it offers value in faith and support. From my observations it seems to give people a sense of hope, understanding, and a way to tie loose ends. If that doesn't work for you (it doesn't really work for me either), that's fair enough.

Religion is something that is highly subject to interpretation and by its very definition is a personal understanding of the world, and thus it comes from inside (even though your general beliefs may be molded by external influences). This opens a wide variety of interpretations and means that an individual has their own unique religious beliefs that reflects their own personal needs. These do not need to be selfish – they are instead rooted in one's personal understanding and grasp of the world and how to cope – it's an example of the struggle of a person against the world, and for some, religion is the answer to that as well.

On a slightly unrelated subject, religion most certainly has value in anthropology studies, by showing the beliefs, values and understandings of various cultures.

Either you're serious or the seriousness is part of a shitty meta "joke"
