1. Christopher Nolan's BANE?
Have you ever woke up at night, stared at the ceiling, and wonder what life would be like if you were someone else? Someone more successful, well-known, etc etc. BANE? answers that lingering midnight riddle. The movie follows the character CIA, a high ranking member of the Central Intelligence Agency. We follow CIA throughout his entrie life, from his birth, through his tragic childhood, to his promising life, to his devastating end. The film's antagonist from which the title comes from is CIA'S greatest foe, in more ways then one. CIA dedicates his entire life to finding Bane, abandoning his family life, shunning his friends and relatives, and becoming more brutal and sadistic. We see CIA change from a big guy, a man respected by his peers, admired by children, and feared by the hotheaded. At the end of the film we see his metamorphosis to a man even smaller then Bane, a merciless killer. The end of the film takes place on his father's plane, that he was born on during one of his father's missions, where he extracts a doctor and some of Bane's henchmen. He finally meets Bane, shrinking in the presence of him. We see CIA'S entire demeaner change in this scene. In the beginning, he is a humble family man that respects his enemies, as the film progresses, we see him become a hotheaded bad cop type, throwing away all of his past ideals to hunt down Bane. At the sight of Bane, he becomes afraid and reckless. In his final moments he accepts that his life is at an end, with his emotional final words: "No! This can't be happening! I'm in charge here!". CIA dies at the hand of the man he sacrificed his family life and ties to society to capture, and dies in the plane he was born. An allegory on the miracle of life. 11/10
