I might get downvoted for this but The forums are really dead, there are nobody posting anything and it just seems very lifeless. What happened?, I might leave guys

Most people that actively post went to the Discord, from what I've read. Oldfags still lurk, but the bulk of the activity of proper KYMcore people is on Discord. From what I've seen, the thread with the most activity is the politics general, being followed by the current "new UI is SHIT" general (or "New site layout?" as it's called.)

Really, you don't have to leave if you hate the activity – forums are great because you can actually catch up on what people say instead of going through a whole load of shit and messages that may sound disconnected from one another like on Discord, so it's much more pleasant to read through. So you can lurk once in a while, though you have my condolences if you expected more.

The latest update fucking sucks, I mainly use this site to sort by most comments the past 24 hours and that doesnt work anymore.

Whoever planned this update deserves a cactus shoved up their ass

Been here for ages, watching things gradually get worse, Reddit/TikTok bots taking over and flooding the site with shit, actual people leaving, actual memes dying. I went through one shitty UI update way back when. I probably won't be sticking around to get used to this one.

I will probably visit this KYM once in a while but this is definitely not the N.1 site I go when I expect a strong community and memes

I think hopefully we are just in the process of rebirth right now, lots of old users are leaving but finally new users are coming in.

It was a shitstorm in here for a while with different factions trying to take over, me going crazy didnt help either but things were pretty bad even without me.

Yes but more specifically the particular "mainstream" left group in X server or website and the particular "mainstream" right group in X server or website.

It is NOT enough to be a leftwjng or a rightwing if ylu go against what the main tribe of your website you will get annihalated by the group that is supposedly on "your side"

There were moments of calm where both "tribes" lost power but by then I had drank the political cool aid too much to take advantage of it….it is WAY WAAAY too late for me so word of advice for you who is just starting your journey…dont drink the cool aid you WILL get addicted to it and start acting like either a clown or a bully eventually

Its been gradually going downhill since they closed the cringeworthy gallery back in 2014, you have had a lot of the "regulars" get banned/deactivated or just left over the years, and add it more user unfriendly UI, more garbage tier "memes", and the awful amount of Ads.

Yeah that moment really killed the website cause without cringe we all got so bored we fell for the trap that is culture war bullshit as there was little else to do besides fapping to softcore porn…which you can only do so much

Politics ARE very important but I cant say the internet is improving for the better.

internet politics were way better before 2016 as they existed, people still talked about important issues…but it wasnt a 24/7 culture war that took over everything

Like I am not saying we should just ban all politics or stop talking about politics but I am pretty sure we need to do more than just that…especially the culture war bullshit…or this website will just continuing dying

Not gonna lie…feeling guilty I was gonna originally say something whiny and emo in this thread like "maybe I killed this website singlehandely" but then i realized that ouldnt be right as that would make me insanely overpowered
