When you agree someone or something you like is far from perfect but fact is you still enjoy the stuff you get from said entity

I know who exactly who you're referring to and that kinda sums up my thoughts on them.

While I definitely don't like the shit Nintendo's been doing with their C&D's as of late, at the same time, I do understand why from a legal point of view they're doing this and I'm not going to break out the pitchforks to call for Nintendo's head, since I don't feel like that's going to do much in the end. Besides, while I am annoyed with it, it's not to the point where I'm angry about it anyway.

Honestly, Nintendo's traditionalism is probably their greatest strength (they know what works and stick with it. I'm grateful Iwata almost never went down the route of Android/iOS games) and weakness (stubborn as hell, just ask Miyamoto).

Going back to the "topic"; the Bioshock series; yes I know the games fall into the "2deep4u" pitfall, but I fucking loved the first game, and it helped me appreciate the System Shock duology for all their age-related clunkiness.

There's… well, a lot of things that fit the topic's description for me. Here's a recent example from a few years ago…

I won't deny that this game is very heavily flawed and easily could've been way better despite the "restrictive" circumstances… but I still have a lot of fun with it whenever I play it, and for all that the game gets wrong, there's still plenty of stuff it gets right (the tag-team gameplay mechanics, rollback netcode, finally bringing the fan favorite Mega Man X into the series, certain animations and attacks like Spider-Man's new Level 3, and certain scenes and moments in the Story Mode like Hulk and Ryu's team-up against the Monster Hunter monster… not to mention Winter Soldier taking a well-deserved jab at Secret Empire).

I"ll be honest at this point I feel bothered that people that are like "Sephiroth in Smash is cool but still fuck Nintendo," like you don't have to feel so down and angry about it, you're still hype about it because of what Sakurai and the Smash dev team have done. Don't let Nintendo's legal shit get in the way of your love for Smash.

Star Wars. Specifically the prequels. I think a lot of people who grew up with the prequels have a hard time accepting the fact that they aren't good films (ROTS comes close).

With said, I adore prequel lore and the style of lightsaber dueling that they introduced. That kind of fast paced, by the skin of your teeth dueling has real anime vibes that the sequels could never pull off.

And plus when you look at them on paper, the idea that Lucas going for was pretty good. He just didn't know how to execute it properly.

Exactly. I myself do not support the DMCA strikes, pay-to-play annually on Nintendo's buggy internet servers, takedown of emulators, and various scummy actions Nintendo has taken as of late. Despite this, I still enjoy series of Nintendo that I have grown up with (Super Mario, LoZ, Metroid, Smash Bros., and more), and I don't intend to let Nintendo's recent actions define my interest in these series. I am still going to follow Smash Bros. because I am genuinely interested as to what creative characters and movesets the Smash dev team and Sakurai have in store in the future. Just because I have investment in Nintendo's IPs, does not mean I automatically defend all of their actions or them as a company. This ties into how – at least I think – people should learn to separate creators from creations themselves sometimes. You can respect parts of a creator (such as their work) without completely bending backwards to them.

Vague enough to mean anyone but lets face it you know who I mean with this specific topic.

Something like: "I like The Pink Panther movie from 2006."?

Basically, there are movies that are bad, but I like them, just like my brother.

The Pink Panther movie from 2006 is an example. I couldn't find Steven Martin's performance bad and I liked the hamburger joke where Detective Jacques Clouseau said dambuga instead of hamburger.

I don't really hate Wojaks. I mean, yes, I am tired of too many variants and I know some people use it laugh at you, but there are videos that are very interesting.
