Domestically:
1) foremost, significantly curtail the power of the Executive branch. The Presidential office has too much power.
2) work with both parties to make a comprehensive 3 prong rejuvenation project:
A) reduce military spending by 25%, within 5 years of taking office, with primary focus on efficiency, supply lines, and focusing on cost-effective, but highly effective technological armaments rather than pork projects.
B) significantly reduce taxes on businesses, and corporations, with a 10 year tax-holiday on small businesses that generate net profits of less than 3 million annually, or employ less than 30 people, which can be renewed again at the end of the 10 years – balance that with a minor income tax increase, 5% on incomes 10 mill +, +3% on incomes 3 mill +, 2% increase on 100k 1% increase on 50%+.
C) A $500 Billion infrastructure spending measure over a decade – with focus on expanding communications, transportation, energy, and housing in rural and sub-rural states. The purpose being to make less-populated states economically competitive, with an added attraction of reducing urban populations. This would simultaneously reduce political divisions, turn most states purple – so more politically viable, reduce overwhelming housing crises in NY and Cali, while making the perpetual electoral-college issues benign.
3) Implement a UBI program that is lawfully pegged to inflation or deflation %. To make this work I would work to sunset existing welfare programs.
4) Reform Social-security, implement law to phase out medicare with a tier-based grandfathering system.
5) Reform healthcare in the US with a focus of reducing costs by 50% – this means a wide range of policy changes, including a severe tax penalty to employer-based insurance policies. This forces insurance companies to no longer fleece non-employer based insurance seekers, while giving generous benefits to employers who bring hundreds of new customers. Allow for experimental drugs to be sold to Americans as long as they are approved by some state-agency internationally, i.e. if an American wants to buy medicine from France, and it is not yet approved by the FDA, but is approved in France, they should be able to.
6) Legalize marijuana, mushrooms, immediately, full stop. De-criminalize most other drug use. Treat drug-addiction as a disease, rather than a crime.
7) Re-negotiate all existing trade deals to make sure our trade partners cannot use nefarious economic mechanisms to significantly cheat.
8) Environmental Policy: Tax-holiday on constructing new, state of the art nuclear facilities as primary energy need. The US should go nuclear. End all subsidies on oil, coal, gas. Demand strict environmental regulations on the use of, and recycling of solar materials.
9) Make it constitutional law that our federal deficit cannot exceed 15% revenue. If it does, every element of our federal budget should be looked at, excluding the interest on the debt. Every budget year that there is a tax surplus, it will be constitutionally mandated to use the surplus, exclusively for paying down the debt.
10) Encourage and expand private union sectors, while creating massive restrictions on public union sectors.
11) Wage holy war like Teddy Roosevelt on existing tech-monopolies.
12) Constitutional amendment that bans any and all property taxes in any state. Property taxes deny the fundamental right to property.
13) Privatize marriage – willing to compromise to letting it be on state levels. Marriage should not be a purview of the state. Ever. The state's only role is to make sure all marriage contracts are enforced, and no one is coerced into a marriage contract. So yes, if you want to marry 4 people, as long as everyone consents and there is a marriage contract, the state has no say in it. Religious institutions will not be compelled to marry anyone they don't want to, neither would those that wish to get married to whatever partner they want would have to dread that they can't. And no, you can't marry an animal as animals cannot consent, nor children, nor trees.
14) Absolute reform to public education – with a gradual phasing out "public" education as we know, privatizing all schools and subsidizing parents with education vouchers – allowing 100% school choice, a diverse curriculum, allowing most people the option to try innovative and new educational structures that aren't modeled on a 19th century Prussian system made to make you an ideal worker or clerk.
